Spirit Weapons are all right, focus the Guardian. When they go with a spirit weapon build, they aren’t that defensive as some other Guardians and are easier to damage and take down. The hammer to the face knockback/knockdown is annoying, but not overpowered.
Thank you for your response.
I guess this is a L2P issue on my end, never fully tried the Spirit Weapons on my Guardian so it’s my ignorance that cost me the fights vs these pets.
Is there anything I can do to mitigate the damage of these pets? I cannot kill them nor CC them since they are invulnerable and even with Swiftness they do not have issues in keeping up with me.
Is there even a reason as to why these pets have this invulnerability status? You don’t see Turrets or Elementals being invulnerable to damage/CC so why is this a special case for the Guardians pet’s?
If I could kill them then it wouldn’t be an issue but just the fact that I cannot do anything but run away is quite ridiculous.
learn to write and use properly words maybe. “this” in gw2 forum far fomr the first sentence means gw2, not WoW. sorry
The irony in this post is just wonderful.
@Izziee Link can list a few things as to why you don’t want to fight chickens.
Endure Pain is not Invulnerability, it is immune to direct damage and nothing more (CC and Conditions still apply) while the elite for the Guardian “Renewed Focus” is an Invulnerability meaning you cannot be cc’ed nor have conditions applied to you during the process (although pre-existing conditions still apply).
Just wanted to clear things up between Invulnerability and Endure Pain
Let me put it in simpler terms:
This game has 2 challenging classes, and 6 easy classes.
People who can only play easy classes are trying to force ANet into changing Elementalist to be easy.
I don’t like to play an easy class because I find it boring.People who like easy classes should try one of the 6 easy classes, and not try to steal the precious few challenging ones. That is greedy, that is selfish, that is childish.
People who like easy classes already have 75% of the classes to play, while people like myself have 25%. I’m fine with it, but by whatever god you believe in, you’d better be sure I’d speak my opinion against people who try to make that ratio any worse for me.
There is so much irony in this post.
So the people who want to make this profession a little easier for casuals to play it without throwing a fit about it are greedy, selfish and childish but yet the only reason why you want to keep it the way it is, is because YOU want it keep it that way I’m sorry but to me that sounds greedy, selfish and childish at the same time so feel free to correct me.
There is no point in playing a challenging profession if they do not make up for the challenge of playing it, in a game where time is the resource you can’t afford to do long, time-consuming combos and then having those combos be sub-par compared to another professions combo that requires less time to do it, you might as well play that other profession if you want to stay competitive.
Thieves, Mesmers & Guardians: Is Frustration an Element of Balance?
in PvP

than these changes:
- Replaced half of the Mesmer and Thief utility skills with new skills.
- New profession mechanic for Mesmers: _
- Guardian healing reduced by 40%.
This right here, this is what you call balance changes? Nerfing Guardian healing by 40%., and removing half of the utility skills for two classes? I am so glad you are not a game designer, holy kitten.
It seems like you misread what he said so I will explain. He is saying to NOT do those kinds of changes and if you read what he said again then you will find he actually wants to buff the professions who are underwhelming to be on par with these professions instead of nerfing those professions to the point where those utility, mechanics and Guardian heals are useless to use.
Heartseeker is still very strong but now requires timing to ensure the kill rather than spamming the skill until one of you are dead.
Constructively, how can we improve survivability in SPvP?
in Elementalist
Posted by: DeanAdamFry.7106
To improve our survivability without increasing our vitality and toughness I would propose the following changes:
1. Attunements no longer have a cooldown and go on a 0.5 second cooldown after swapping.
2. Add Element only buffs that as long as you stay in this attunement you get the following bonuses: Fire – Retaliation Water – Regeneration + Condition Removal every 10 seconds Air – Fury + Swiftness Earth – Protection.
3. Decrease all weapon skill cooldowns that are over 40 seconds by 5 seconds.
4. Attunement Recharge Trait will now decrease the weapon skill cooldowns in all Attunements by 10%, 20% and 30%.
5. Lingering Elements now has a 10 second internal cooldown.
I think this would be a nice start but you tell me.
I’ve already submitted a report about this and tested this in a match to see if it actually works and in it’s current state it’s very exploitable.
The skill instantly stealth’s the user and blinds nearby foes, during this process you are channeling a spell to cause burning at the end of stealth but this is where it’s exploitable. If I use esc key or dodge roll before the animation ends this skill goes on a 4 second cooldown before it can be used again which normally for other skills is fine however since this skill instantly stealth’s you THEN starts channeling it’s spell it allows the user to interrupt themselves and are then able to go stealth again in 4 seconds time.
I’m not sure if this is already addressed but if it is then I apologize for wasting your time.
This tool might work for you. Not tried it myself.
I already know how to put music into Guild Wars 2 that isn’t the issue.
The issue is my music in game keeps switching very often and will not allow the song to finish before it switches to another song I have in my playlist.
Is there anyway to make the music playlist not be so random?
To best explain this, what I mean is during combat I have one soundtrack playing but then five seconds later it changes to the other soundtrack and it really feels random when your trying to get into the music but can’t due to it switching all the time.
Is there any way to make it so it will wait till the first song finishes then goes to the other song? Currently it’s ridiculous that I cannot simply listen to a song for even ten seconds.
