Hello everyone,
I want to create a build for a friend who’s just started the game (playing casually) and intends to play warrior. Since I’m not familiar with the warrior class, I’m creating this topic to get some help from the best (you).
Keep in mind that this build is mainly for PVE/donjon with maybe a little WvW on the side.
Here’s the build :
http://www.guildhead.com/skill-calc#mcRzmzM9MoohGmoohGmGax0aVazzRqo
This build heavily focuses on high power and high toughness. It also allows an high crit rate (roughly 34% without gear) which allows for extra condition damage (via sigil, talent, and the use of sword #4 and #5).
Here’s the explanation for the choices :
weapons :
- Axe (sigil of battle) / sword (sigil of earth)
- Axe (sigil of battle) / mace (sigil of earth)
This is mandatory. My friend wants to play with those sets of weapons. I’ve created this build especially to synergize with this choice of weapons. But maybe this isn’t the best choice for sigils.
talents :
20 Strength : SV or SIII depending on the needs (dps or survivability) and SX for a flat +10% crit.
10 Arms : AI combined with 5 sigils for a +200 precision (almost 10% crit rate when unused).
30 Defense : DI for adrenaline when hit and DVIII and DXI for auto stance (more survivability).
10 Discipline : DVI to synergize with the Arms talent and the use of signets.
Now I’m wondering, is it worth dropping 5 or 10 points in Defense and put them in discipline for more weapon swap (might and adrenaline) ? To me it seems that Armored attack is really nice since this build is gonna stack toughness (1600 minimum = 80 power). But again, if I invest 20 points in discipline, I can go for Heightened focus + Sharpened axes but I’m not familiar enough with adrenaline mechanics so I have no idea which is better…
Gear :
No idea. Was thinking rampager’s rings/earrings/amulet and soldier’s armor/weapon to maintain high power and high toughness with 40% crit (I play d/d elem so perma fury in our group = 60% crit).
As for the runes, I didn’t think about it so no idea as well…
I’m finally finished. Sorry for this long post and sorry if someone already posted a similar build in this forum. Honestly, I didn’t bother searching much.
If anyone can provide any help/advice on this build, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
