It was never about it being a video game. It was about respect for the company’s customers. Those of us who work in the real world understand what it means to bend over backwards to get the job done.

well i refuse to buy any more gems until this problem gets resolved. i was going to buy 1400 gems to transfer but that’ll just have to wait. everyone please rally together and refuse to shop on the gem store.

So how about an in game update that fixes things this week? Or is it already pre-friday and people have 4 day weekends to spend with their families?

Why do you think people choose to play MMOs to begin with? It is a reward system for completing quests. People get pleasure/satisfaction from achievements and the loot that comes with it. If this isn’t your deal, then maybe you are playing the wrong kind of video game. I don’t know why you guys are trying to be the white knights and champion defenders of ANET here. You threw money down for this product and PROBABLY spent more money on the gem store. If you don’t care about getting teabagged on the face, then please create a forum thread on why you enjoy it.

Obviously you cannot draw a parallel in your head to understand what I’m trying to say. If you earn something with your time/labor, you should be compensated. Nobody is talking about paying your bills or feeding your kids nor do we care.

The fact is we had to earn achievements to earn the wvw tickets. They were not given away for nothing. If you went to work for 2 weeks and was told by your boss they dont know when the paycheck will be arriving and 9 days later it still hasn’t come, would you be singing the same tune?

Developers/Anet : this is unacceptable. Give us an update on what is going on and what you are going to do to compensate us.

it is not just a weapon skin… it is 2 legendary accessories that cost 80 laurels and 80 ectos. that is not cheap, and laurels are a pain in the kitten to come by.

Like any customer would do when faced with a situation where the company has either A)on purpose inadvertently inconvenienced the customer, we should demand further compensation for this delay. To simply just give us what was promised is insufficient and not right. I say we should all get access to a free costume on the gem store, or 800 gems.

This is simply the short term resolution : for those who already have tickets, allow them to purchase on the historian vendor. There is no further need to restrict their access. Who benefits from making some of the people wait? Noone wins in this scenario. At least PART of the player base will be compensated after such a delay. Secondly, there must be a way to track who turns their tickets in at the vendor. Figure out which servers won, and which players got their achievement points for season 2. Then deduct who has turned them in. Maybe some players might get extra tickets in the end, but this is better than nothing.
