My opinion is that these forums should be used to discuss the related topics rather then mess around(you can do that ingame if you so desire to).
Why did warfare change from swords and blunt weapons to rifles and artillery?
Partly because it is alot safer. Simple as that.
What change can you possibly think of the make melee more viable in Pvp, there is absolutely none. Switch to ranged weapons or grab balista’s.
So they post this on Twitter above their own forums? Don’t they realise Twitter is not so popular outside of America aside from 14 year old attention seeking kids?
I was thinking that aswell, imagining their Capital would be incredible.
Tengu are pretty much in-game confirmed already.
As an Elementalist I also had to add some health, run back after dying and add some health, repeating for about 4 times.
The rest was a piece of cake though, kiting all day every day.
Experience is the only way to find out, go into the qeues at different times for a few days and find out which is the shortest, then adjust yourself to that.
As Desolation is so incredibly full though I cannot imagine proper qeue times at any time of the day ^^.
The only problems right now are the bugs that came with the patch, which I assume with be dealed with soon.
The kiting is harder yes, for some this is a reason to find other ways to gear up, fine with me. But the dungeon is still very much doable in itself (When it is not bugged ofcourse).
tl;dr, The dungeon is fine, a much needed challenge and it is your own choice if you want to get the best gear in a week by grinding, or getting it in a longer period of time while doing things you enjoy.
