Guild Wars 2

Cant say ive spent more than 40 bucks on a full game in more than 10 years (PC gaming has truly spoiled me). I also played and stopped playing this game years ago, so 50 bucks doesn’t get me a brand new game with an entirely new experience, it gives me a gamble on whether or not i’ll find the new additions worth playing.

I just dont find the price point worth the possibility I may still not find the game engaging enough to keep playing. 30 is right at the price point Im willing to try the game at, hell even at 40 bucks I could justify the purchase to myself, but money is just too tight to convince myself 50 bucks for a game I may or may not play for more than a few hours is a smart entertainment purchase.

No hate for the game, its price, or its players. It’s just too much for this one individual.

Sorry I dont accept that at all. A long wait is 2 weeks, a month would be unacceptable. This has been over 2 months, they are simply ignoring it.

Over 2 months ago I requested support for my guild wars 1 account as NCsoft just sends me to the GW2 website. Still no response… Is this how Arenanet takes care of its loyal customers?

Ive supported their company since Guild Wars 1 but for some reason they dont feel obligated to provide even the illusion of support…

Can something please be done, this is beyond frustrating at this point.

I have a 50Mbps connection which is roughly 7.5 MBps and nearly everything I download bounces between 5-7 MBps. Why in the hell is this game downloading at 1kbps… Thats 56 times slower than dial up. What the kitten is going on here?

No dice. I tried the french thing and it just hung with 1 “fichiers restants”. Horrible timing to try to come back to the game after a 4 month break…

Edit I accidentally tried to load the game from the repair shortcut and it went right to 100% so im able to play. I’d test what makes it work or not some more but i dont want to lose the chance to actually play, It may just have something to do with trying to launch through steam

Going to try the language thing. Side note: I tried to do a repair of the installation which allowed it to finish… But only that one time, ever subsequent launch does the same 1kb BS

The DVD is a VERY VERY old build, no matter what you’ll have to download the new client online

Im stuck at the last Kilobit of my update, the entire update raced at around 5MBps but at 99% it hung, and now if i restart the client it tells me its downloading 1 file at 0.0Kbps. I have no firewalls or antivirus software running in the background, and I had already port forwarded GW2 ports months ago when the game first came out… What gives?

For the past 2 days ive tried to finish this mini dungeon to no avail. It seems like the sword you need to get into the final chamber is broken and goes away as soon as you go into the water. There is no option to put it in your bag and no skills that stows the sword for later use. Am I missing something here (like something to drain the water) or is it genuinely just broken
