I’ve had this happen to a lot of people who don’t understand newer graphics cards competitors policies….

“You probably have good power supply too – or the problem would likely show at other times when not in GW2.”

Not necessarily true. GW2’s most recent update includes a decrease in the effects of culling, which will increase the load on a graphics card considerably more than it ever did. While this might not be immediately(if at all) noticed on the graphics card itself, the power consumption will go up with the PSU.

I’m leaning toward power supply problem.

File a report with customer service. I don’t know what their policy is on providing consideration for damages caused as a result of a malfunction on their end but I trust that it’s something like “tough luck”. They might be feeling generous though or have a log of the events. You never know…

Setup AMD to let the software control the graphics. I don’t recall exactly what runs during the installation process, but if I were you I’d be confirming my system can run the game.

My friends, this is not an overheating issue with your graphics card. Your graphics card is trying to pull electricity from your power supply and it’s not able to supply it.

Make sure you check how much electricity is being provided by your PSU. I had this same issue when I upgraded my graphics card and neglected to upgrade the PSU.

Login server appears to have crapped itself. Should be back up soon unless it’s a big problem. Usually these just require a restart.

Looks to be system wide. Can’t connect to login server on Darkhaven.
