I second this. Being someone fully equipped in ascended with two legendary weapons being swapped in combat, the amount of damage they do is a bit absurd. You can see even on your map of the amount and frequency of defeated players in the Balthazar part of Siren’s Landing. So clearly almost everyone is struggling to survive the burn damage they do.

Giving this a bump because it just looks awful doing any animations affected. It needs to be fixed.

No it’s during the Meta Event in the Nuhoch lane where to stomp on the spores. If you notice the name of the event it says you control lesser chak, then you’ll see friendly chak NPCs helping you fight in the lane if people stomp on plenty of spores on the mushrooms.

Yes, the larger Chak are too smart to be tamed, I was thinking more towards the lesser Chak (Lurker, Slinger, Zapper) as there have been events where you can trick the smaller guys to being friendly to you and aid you.

The Nuhoch Meta is a great example of this, you stomp on spores to get friendly chak, the name of the event even says " Release fungal spores to lure out the gerent and control lesser chaks’ minds".

So why not a Ranger use Spores to tame a lesser Chak? The Ogre’s didn’t attempt this so it was why they couldn’t find a way to tame them.

Yeah, I know. Nothing like the Gerents, like a Drone or Slinger, easier to trick/confuse. But I know it’s wishful thinking. The only Minis are a Gerent and Lobber, not one of the cute little guys. =( They make such cute sounds.

I know that Chak are a hive-mind and that even the ogres in Tangled Depths struggled to tame the Chak. But what if there was a small method to obtaining a Chak pet as a Ranger? Make it something you have to work for, making it all the more worth it.

I was thinking something like using pheromones to have them consider you friendly and only obtainable under special circumstances like the Juvenile Electric Wyvern. Or some Asuran interference with their tech.
