That is your real problem .. now look here :

Yes, I did my research. No need to give me googel links..
1 long 2 short beep means a Monitor or display card error. Which is what I said.

If you did your research why do you ask here in the GW2 forum, since then you
should know that your problem is a hardware problem and in no way related
to GW2.

Because, GW2 has FPS issues , a lot of peoplefixed it in their way. I tried my ways and unfortunately nothing helped.

OP, do you remember by any chance what BUS interface she had? Was it like mine ? Pci-e 16x @ x1? Then when you fixed it, it was 16x @ 16x?

Yes, that is 100% your issue. You are only running at x1 where your card and slot can run at x16. You will have to figure out why it isn’t working, but that is your problem.

Thanks for replaying to me.
Was wondering because, GPU-z says that I do have 16x on pci-e since it says:
Pci-E 3.0 x16 @ x1 1.1

Please, correct me if im wrong.

You sir have your gpu installed on a wrong pci-e slot. Correct slot would show @1.1 if only there was no graphical load on. Stick it the closest to the cpu you will know the difference in matter of seconds.

That would be kind of hard, and I’m positive he has it in the proper slot, he just needs to reseat and/or clean it and it will jump from x1 back to x16. That’s exactly the issue my gf had. I had her switch it to the x4 slot on her mobo then back to the x16 and it worked magically.

Hey, it looks like the exact issue my gf had. Your card is only running at x1 and not the full x16. I’d advise taking the card out, making sure the connector and slot are clean and placing it back ensuring it’s properly secured in the motherboard with the screw on the back.

As I typed this last night I was having her download GPU-Z and today I had her do some tests for me. Turns out her card was really running x1 and not x16. I had her reseat it and make sure it was clean and her fps issues have been solved. I hope the rest of you figure it out.

My gf and I have wanted to play a little again, last time we played was around launch. She is having awful FPS issues, and I cannot figure out why.
Her and I have the exact same cpu but my FPS is much better than hers. I am on mostly high (low shadows, etc) and with her being on minimum she gets 15-20 fps while in the exact same spot I can reach 80.
She has:
amd fx 4170
amd 6850
8gb ram

I have an R9 270x and 12gb ram.

Now I have had her install newest drivers, change the settings in game around a lot, unpark the cpu cores, defragment her hdd. I’ve even gone as far as underclocking my gpu the absolute minimum that I could and my fps was still way better than hers. Her cpu runs about 70% while in game (same as me) and her video card runs at 98%, so it is working. (while underclocking mine it went from about 50% to 98% as well)

I don’t know what else I can have her do. I noticed that some people have had fps issues, but, I don’t to just give up because she said if it won’t get fixed then she will not be playing the game. Any help or insight would be helpful. I’ve looked everywhere for a long time today with no results.
Thank you.
