Just want to know when this bug will be fixed? Honestly having a hell of a time to collect shards using the other means.

But I understand wanting to prevent abuse, its just that a good “Hey we wont have this fixed soon.” Or “Hey we think we are on to something should be within the few days.” I know you (Anet) don’t do so but here’s wishing.

Love the new content, keep it coming please!

Id pay up to 39.99 with no complaints for HoT alone. If im forced to pay the 49.99 for the base HoT… Ill complain a little, but in the end I know ill make sure I get my value out of the 49.99 purchase even if it leaves me feeling slapped by ANET. I enjoy GW2, have since launch, don’t plan to just say “kitten You ANET, I wont support you!” When GW2 has given me 4k hours to my initial pre-purchase of the deluxe Ed. They have given me a huge value on my original purchase, and HoT will likely pay off even at the 49.99 price.

Of course I wouldn’t mind being able to buy the deluxe edition of HoT without the core game… but again… I love GW2 and it will probably end up being worth it for me. Im addicted to GW2… are you?

Honestly most of the hate comes from the fact that they are making everyone “re-purchase” the base game with the expansion. Alot of people don’t understand why we are meant to purchase the expansion with another copy of the game if we simply want the expansion. Don’t get me wrong here, some of the hate is definitly not deserved, but there is some aspects that ANET simply needs to define more for the users.

I find it a bit confusing telling players that we are getting the original GW2 with the Expansion. To me this is an oversight for players with pre-existing GW2 accounts. Why make us purchase the core game again? This only makes sense for those who are starting from scratch and want access to both. I have a feeling that HoT will be similar to the original GW1 Expansions which were in essence not an “Expansion” but are added “Campaigns.” If this is the case we should be allowed to purchase the expansion without the GW2 core game. But the way ANET has structured it and the purchase prices, it appears that HoT will not be of the mass or scope that was contained within the GW1 “Campaigns”.

In the end I will support ANET and most likly enjoy my purchase no matter what price they stick to. I simply would like more explanation as to what HoT contains, such as knowing if HoT requires the repurchase of the core game due to relying on something within that code, or if the option put forward is meant to bring on new players by giving them both the original GW2 and the HoT Campaign. Reminder: Im not here arguing the fact that theres alot of undeserved hate. I simply think we need a bit more definition as to why HoT purchase requires us to purchase “Guild Wars 2 Core Game” aswell.

Again no hate intended if Iv come across in that way. I just agree, that if this is a GW2 “Expansion” why is there no option to purchase it without the core game, or if this is more of the GW1 “Expansion” which were “Campaigns” then does the “Guild Wars 2 Core Game” mean that we are truly purchasing the core mechanics that are required for HoT to stand alone from the game the way the original “Guild Wars: Factions” and “Guild Wars: Night Fall” required core mechanics from Guild Wars 1.

I have a feeling ANET will clear up the confusion in time, Id now like to see what everyone else thinks. Either way ill support ANET, they have me hooked for over 4k hours already… why would I quit now.

New Player Experience Bugs - Multiple Characters

Personally the changes made to the leveling are a slap in the face to players who leveled all there toon’s to 80. Its made worse by the consistent new player hints and the annoying messages of “There’s a Dodge event over here” and only getting a white item(Of course I understand why its a white item, this is intended for the new players but why am I at lvl 80 after 2 years being told to go and learn how to dodge?)… Why are we being told at lvl 80 how to heal, what utility slots are ect. And for that matter why are we basically being forced to Level a brand new character to get things for the collections… Iv already gotten very annoyed trying to help people level up with the new system.

Now I understand your trying to improve the new player experience but the changes have made me (a player of over 2 years now) feel like its a slap in the face. I dont get the credit to the collections simply because iv taken the time to max all my characters? And thus to get these things make a new character? If its impossible to give us the credit for what we have done(IE no system that can track what a player has done or not, as part of the story journal) then can we enable a way to replay story chunks so I don’t have to get that new character going?

Oh well raising these questions so that they can be talked about and worked on as a whole. I can bare with it and get past these issues, it just seems that they need to be defined by ANET clearly instead of simply not addressed.

I was in the group of the OP Kenjo (Hi! Tsunami here), this bug seems to be occurring to alot of people. iv had guildies tell me they have had this happen since the Feature Pack update hit. Honestly I feel rather annoyed but oh well, just please fix this!

WvW Tournament Rewards Distribution Delay

Honestly not worried about this anymore. Thought I am rather disappointed over the issue… its really just not that bad. Just fix is Anet, your always gonna get people who complain about it and sure its really kinda takin alot longer then we would like, but oh well. Patience is one of the best things to have in life, let alone, a game like this where you sometimes have to grind things.

Props to ya for atleast giving us the Bobblehead Powa!!!!! Thats helped me laugh me butt off while waiting and will continue to. And if they keep complaining… oh well? Not everyone can be pleased without an instant gratification which is an expectation thats been born out of ignorance to the real world. Even getting an instant reaction from a computer takes alot of fine tuning and a ton of code that can be running parallel which, if you go and learn the field, you find its a heck of a challenge with a rather real world cap on how fast things can really be ran through the system. I dont envy you for your challenge programming this game let alone tryin to find a line of code or function in the programming that is creating such an error.

For now just keep doing the work that makes me and others happy, So what we dont get to access the skins or a few other things from the vendor. I got my WvW ticket rewards and will happily wait until you solve the problem. And thats comming from a player who at first felt like this was one of the worst flops ever. But of course sitting down and actually thinking about it, there’s nothing to be mad or worried about. Its just skins and a few other little things, we should all be given the right rewards to access it instead of unjustly ignoring some.

Oh god I can feel those who wish to complain about my post, let alone the topic already forming more hurtful and troll like comments.

Keep up the good work Anet, lets use this little bump in the road to improve future systems, since were only human thats the best we can ask.

Another Mount Suggestion! Hear me out! :)

No mounts please.

I agree Mounts are neat, but this game is not one big open world. It is divided into Zones and as such I see mounts as being useless besides Bragging rights, and as of right now GW2 has enough items and stuff to give bragging rights. Now You may not want to simply brag and want to have a mount to complete a look but I ask them not to implement mounts in the general fashion. Id like not to see the clutter of more large things that will need to be coded into the culling feature. To me a mount is usefull for being faster then regular foot travel, and yet if we do that we open the door to people running around faster then intended, even with speed buffs. If anything I ask that mounts be implemented like the Broom stick or the Drill Items in the Gem store. This way they remain Visual like players want but wont be anything more then a Looks/Town item.

My view is from that of a player who Has played a bunch MMO’s with similar items and honestly find Mounts to be very annoying when tryin to find other players in the crowd or trying to click on something(GW2 already dealt with that by havin the Interact ability along since the click… not all games allow that) but overall Mounts were more of a Braggin point and grief item then a nice addition. But as always its how they implement it that will make all the difference. Please dont think im trying to convert or say it should never happen. I just want them to be mindful of these things so we may all have a good experience with Mounts if they are brought into effect.

Upcoming Skill/Trait Changes

I ask you to give us back our shortbow range. After reading the leaked notes I expected the changes to make sence in game. After playing with them I dont see anything but a huge disadvantage over all. We are rangers, as such we are expected to be ranged not stuck to only one weapon for long range. Also id like to point out your changes to the Longbow do not work right now. Testin shows me that there has been no effective change to the skills. The after cast change of the Long Range Shot has not effected it from my tests HOWEVER I admit this could simply be a bug. Other things iv noticed is the longbow Barrage … has no difference in cripple. Last night it was the same as today after the update no change reflected in the description or form hitting someone. Anyways Im happy that you(ANET staff) are changing things in an ever persistence of making sure the game has enough variations but you have left myself and fellow rangers… maybe not all of them but most iv talked to, very confused as to why take the shot bow so far back… if it had at-least 1000 range we could still feel like your giving a ranger the ability to stay a ranger and not become a skirmisher. In the end I cant change your minds but simply plead with you bring a little range back into the weapon, If 1200 is to much while 1500 for longbow is fine then … well what gives? Oh well Guess im just a ranger who prefers to use ranged weapons. Ill let time tell for me and leave you with these past thoughts.

PS, I call longbow as 1500 range due to the trait, for those who may question where that comes from.

Well Looks like we are not alone! Same thing occurring to me. All tests run show it as a server connection issue and nothing to do with my end.

Keeps disconnecting - Help required

I am having the same trouble… It first started up after the games release. After quitting for some months and getting the wiring redone for my internet I tried again and worked to clean any issues up for around 2 months however the problem is back. After 1 to 15 mins of play the game disconnects and boots me to the char select screen. After a very in depth examination of my equipment and connection I can clearly state that it is not on my end. The most common error code comes back to a connection issue with the server please try again. With no solutions Iv almost given up.

Id like to see the ability to stow a pet and leave it stowed until it is called upon.
By this I mean if we stow our pet, please change the mechanic so that when we take dmg or attack it does not come back out until we call it. Pets are useful and effective when used properly however I find it very frustrating when parties will not take a ranger simply because the pet can aggro to many mobs at once and completely mess things up for everyone. This has made me to feel very restricted to the dungeons I can join since some of them simply don’t allow for the mistake of over aggro.
I have also noticed (like other posts in the suggestions area) that the pets stat boosts do not actually effect them. For instance if I give my pet Might, the stats reflect that, however the damage is the exact same range. Iv tried this on multiple enemies in different level areas with no change to there avg damage output with the buffs. So far the only pet buff that I see a real effect is swiftness. Everything else has no determinable effect.
I love my ranger and my pets, however I feel like they have been left out when it comes to bug fixing.

Id also like to see the targeting mechanic updated a little. Its very frustrating to target one enemy, have to turn and move away, only to lose the target even when you have the option “Promote Skill Target” (aka if you hit them the target is locked) on. I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this however a lot of people seem to complain that the targeting does not lock onto what you want. Just my suggestions.

Fix Ranger Pets

I agree Iv noticed alot of differences between what the stats say and what is actually happening. Id also like to Add to this:
4. Please add a way to Permanently stow our Pets! It is very surprising how dumb these pets can be in certain dungeons where aggroing to many at once is a party wipe (cough arah cough) and I have had multiple groups frustrated with my pet simply because if I take any dmg or attack hes back out and wandering around instead of staying still. If we could have it leave the pet stowed until we call upon it, it would make this much better without truly altering anything important because I find my pet is only useful outside of dungeons. Inside dungeons no matter what level, they usually feel like they have no survivability at all.
I love my ranger and my pets when im alone But cant get groups for dungeons, when having a pet with its own mind can get a party wiped.
