I guess I’m supposed to know when my game is going to crash. Was just told be careful when buying anything.

Playing last night I was in the gem story buying 25g worth of gems. When I hit trade my game crashed. When I logged back on after dealing with error 25 for around 10 mins I was missing 25g and I was not supplied the gems I paid for.
please help
