I used a unique pass, made no difference as I still got hacked.

This should have already been in place as a security measure!

If they make a new feature to restore, will it be compatible with old data?

What is lost today will never be fixed. And im not risking to start a new character until they update and put a restoration feature in.

nope, no luck… And I was told that they have no restoration features.

You may have read that my account got hacked and my character got deleted
in another post.

My character was 60 levels in and the same thing happened to me. I cant face starting a new character just to see it get wiped.. Their is no safety from these guys, if they want to hack you they will hack you simple…

My password looks like this ********************* very complex with caps and numbers…

and I have two firewalls and use adblocker and microsoft essentials…

Like I said – they want your stuff they will take it.

The only issue I have is why on earth we have not got a function that re-rolls characters…

I feel cheated out of two weeks of my life and am in a very bitter and foul mood.

GOLD, GEMS, CRAFTING MATS… GONE. KAPUT. Am I to forget about this???

I paid good money for a game that i have to wait in line for an answer for, will I be compensated…?

Who can I complain to!?

These questions seem to be up in the air at the moment.. and its very frustrating.

They have no safety features to roll back your character apparently.. so their will be no reimbursements and no compensation for loss of time and effort.

I have to start again. I was level 60 with 2 odd gold and a pile of Gems…

I was hacked. Got my level 60 deleted so I have nothing to come back to but a character create screen… sad days

Gold gone, level 60 character deleted… I cant wait for my gold to come back I cant wait for anything… I have to start from scratch.. What a waste of two weeks.

Happend to me… but my character was deleted too.

The ‘services’ you speak of are not up to par with many other services I have come across, other services have functions which allow me to speak with them on a one to one basis. Other services would publicly apologize and personally apologize and even go so far as to compensate and restore a deleted character. Other services would not blame the account holder for having bad security telling them to be more vigilant.

At least I still have my account unlike some of these poor sods who have had it perma-banned.

Will these people start again within a second of getting their accounts back? or will they protest? Or even boy-cot? Is this a slippery slope? Will Area net throw a rope?

When the blame game is played through the smoke the fire will never be found and all that will remain is ash to cover its cracks.

So I will just have to start anew.

…And forget that It had happened….

A serious thought on the complexities of dealing with the afflicted so that they can enjoy the game and move on… is in desperate need of attention.

Will I ever get my level 60 back? What do you propose I do?

Because I’m not sure I can face going through all of that trauma again.

So I was playing the game, and just hit level 60 when I suddenly d/c…

As I reconnect I notice another character slot has been filled up with a sylvarri named fgshft.

Perplexed at this alarm bells go off in my head and I d/c again.

When I come back my level 60 Asura ‘Super Clyro’ Has Vanished.

A level 1 sylvarri remains and a 50% world complete sign in the top right hand corner. A constant and gut wrenching reminder that I have been completely and royally swanned.

What am I to do? Will Areanet be able to recover my character? I think not.

I cannot face playing this game again with the knowledge that at some point all of my future efforts may be in vain.

They could have taken my gold.. of which i had 2 odd gold. but why delete him? To cover their tracks? Was it a bug and Im being paranoid? But why the weirdly named character in my old characters place? I feel cheated and Distraught at the entire event as I had grown attached to that lil guardian.

When it comes to passwords I always make sure they are complex and unique…
