Taking advantage of the Greater Call of the Mists buff and running dungeons until we’re sick of ’em this weekend!

About
Contra The [meta] is a new guild composed of a group of close knit and like minded individuals who enjoy tackling Tyria’s high end and more challenging content together as a family.

Contra The [meta] does not just appreciate playing Guild Wars 2 outside of the meta, but we are also against the hate, bigotry and discrimination in the world that can also be found in gaming. We accept and embrace individuals regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability alongside providing a positive environment to explore the more difficult adventures Tyria has to offer.

Albeit poised as a semi hardcore guild, the community and our friendships take priority here at Contra The [meta].

Representation
We here at Contra The [meta] don’t employ an extraneous representation requirement. We believe members should represent because they want to and not because they are required to. We understand that because we do not offer members every aspect of Tyria such as World vs. World and role play that they may want to seek out guilds that do offer individuals the opportunities to take part in these activities and Contra The [meta] encourages our members to do so. However, if we find that a member is exclusively spending time elsewhere, it will be evident that they are not a good fit for Contra The [meta].

Seeking
Contra The [meta] is seeking skilled P.v.E. and P.v.P. players alike, in addition to individuals wanting to learn, grow and better their play. On the other hand, it is paramount that we seek out like minded individuals who will be a great addition to our family.

What’s happening, frands? Diamondfries here. I am a Guild Wars 2 veteran who has returned to Tyria with the announcement of Heart of Thorns and took advantage of the amazing sale when a copy of Guild Wars 2 was only ten bucks!

About

• I am 22 years old and live in beautiful and sunny southern California. Guild events hosted in PST are a huge plus, but are certainly not a must.
• I currently reside on the Jade Quarry server. I wish to stay on Jade Quarry; however, I am willing to transfer for the right guild.
• I am 100% Mesmer. A guild that requires its members to be proficient with a minimum of two professions will simply not be a good fit as I have no desire to play any other profession with perhaps the exception of Revenant in the future.
• Most importantly, I seek a guild that accepts and values each individual regardless of gender, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
• Lastly, as poised as this thread is, I am as silly as they come.

Player vs. Environment

• I seek a guild that regularly runs dungeons and fractals efficiently; however, understands that not everyone may be familiar with a certain path nor fractal and therefore has the patience to teach its members. With this stated, I am not familiar with many dungeon paths and seek a guild with not just the patience to teach, but has the willingness to do so. On the other hand, I am fairly confident with most fractals.
• I run a variation of the standard meta build with a combination of Assassin’s and Berserker’s stats.

Player vs. Player

• I am a former Dragon who placed fifth in a Tournament of Glory qualifier.
• I enjoy competitive Player vs. Player and look forward to its new variation, Stronghold.
• I am very knowledgeable about things Player vs. Player.

World vs. World

• I have no desire to raid or participate in most things World vs. World with the exception of Guild vs. Guild and roaming.

Goals

• To get the map completed.
• Craft Quip.
• Meet awesome people to enjoy Tyria with!
