I just posted about this too. LOL! I’m having the exact same problem. Not a very good way to start my return to GW2 LOL. Hopefully they get this fixed soon, hate to waste $40 on another copy of GW2 without even playing the game.

Hi everyone, I’m a returning player.
I’m trying to install the game but it’s just not working. I tried installing from the disk (just bought a new copy from Walmart last night), I tried downloading and installing the client from the website. Niether one of these methods is working for me. I’ve turned my firewall off. I don’t know what else to do.
It seems to me that I’m not connecting to the download server or something because the screen comes up. But nothing happens after that.
