PVE : full zerker + scholar and sigils force/air(sometimes u can change air for night/krait)
WvW : Marauder combined with soldier or Trailblazer for condi build
Yeah ANET, now that the esports BS is finally dead can you please buff Glint/Shiro back to something respectable? And not nerfing it because only the top 0.001% of the players were doing great with it in fully coordinated teams. (Alot of very important nerfs happened before they even started splitting skills thanks to PvP and a bit to WvW)
Killing the competitive scene was the worst mistake, which they have ever made. That was the reason why this game was popular, but nowadays it is not and also it can not compete with wow, because wow was promoted by youtubers and streamers. The only thing better in gw2 is PvP and non p2w model, because it is not resident sleeper eventhough you have less buttons to care about, but the gameplay is more intensive.
REV:
Rev does not need any damage buff except staff AA buff(5-10%) and to focus main target with sword 2 and 3 without splitting it. Also invocation line should be a bit reworked so the stun break should be a basic behaviour of legend swapping (this could make more viable builds)as well as the 1 condition clear. So there could be trait in invocation line to boost this condi removal up to 3 condis.
Probably I would suggest to rework the condi idea of mallyx as well as the corruption trait line.
Dont panic
There will be avaible power build(which is perfect, because revenant is designed as a assasin and not a freaking condicrap) and you can support as well, because you can use ventari(eventhough it has small range aroud the tablet) and glint.
Mallyx & Corruption
Mallyx should be reworked towards beeing a demonic assasin, who could deal with condis and boonstriping(for example 25% chance on hit to boonstrip in corruption line)
Mallyx spells:
Heal – passive – on incoming condition provide small heal
-on activation – provide heal for 3-5k
Gapcloser: without cooldown, but with 30/35 energy cost
Demonic slash – dmg enemies in front of you and remove 3 enemy boons with cooldown and energy cost 15-25
Consume the darkness – Stunbreak and consume 2-3 condis(maybe it could depend on traits in corruption line) with low cooldown(10s) and 20-25 energy cost
elite spell: Unleash the demon power- transfer 2 condis to boons and get aura, which is pulsing slow for a small amount of time. With cooldown like 30s, but without energy cost
Corruption should be designed to boonstrip/condi transfer instead of pulsing resistance. Maybe it could also have some chance to put on foe weakness/chill for a short period of time and boost the passive part of a heal(+-200) on incoming condition
Mace: simply make it like a quicker hammer with shorter range, but still it should be range weapon(something like 600-800)

If you do not want to spend like 400-600 ranked games learning how to play revenant, do not even try it. It is not like playing other classes, because this class has unique role on battlefield and also totally unique game style to be efficient. And also you do not have any good matchup 1v1, you have to be one step ahead all the time to have chance to kill someone 1v1, because your best defense ability is dodging.
Our problem is not to deal with condis’ at all or at least it is not my problem. The main problem you are probably facing to is that you are not a revenant main. I play only revenant(currently 1600-1700 rating), yes that means I have only revenants on my account. And it took me +-800 ranked games to figure out how to play this class. I can see the real difference at the battlefield when ppl are trying to play revenant as a guardian/warrior and it is so bad aproach. On the other hand you will see good revenants, who just appear on battlefield and somebody is just melted down within 1-3seconds. That means positioning, energy managment(for equilibrium), combos, overall knowledge about enemy’s def tools, timing and the most important practicing are the tools to success as a revenant.
That is the reason why this class is the hardest one in PvP. Please do not tell me Thief is the hardest one, because it is not.
Summary: Best way to deal with condis? → Do not let enemies stack them up. Use your mobility to move around battlefield even to run away and crush people down and most important → Do not execute your full burst combo with weakness on you.
We should definetly get a rid of insane burst sigils like many people mentioned while ago.
I mean these: Sigil of Doom,Geomacy, Air, Leeching, Hydromacy.
Also I do not want to see any On hit/On crit/ On weapon swap sigils which applies condies, because otherwise people will use them just to cover their main damage source condis (burn,torment,bleed)
I would rather prefer sigil with permanent stats, because you can easily balance them in future and also it would remove ridiculous burst combos:
10% chance to remove boon (I know it is not against RNG, but still i would like to see this one)
+10% critical damage
+15% critical chance
+7% direct damage
+7% condition damage
+10-20(dunno exactly) boon duration
+10% healing
+10% condition duration
-10% incoming condition damage
-10% incoming direct damage
Weapon swap ones(all with 9s cooldown)
cleanse one condition
1 stack of protection (3s)
1 stack of stability (5s)
1 stack of vigor (5s)
1 stack of swiftness(5s)
heal for small amount of live (800-1000)
generate random boon
Maybe we could even have some minor auras.
I would vote for reduce burn damage or reduce its intensity, because it is ridiculously strong compared to other conditions and please do not argue with duration, because conditions usually dont remain on you long in pvp otherwise you are probably dead.
And I want to ask if you are thinking about doing this kind of communication in other upcoming changes (Runes, Traits, Proffesions), because people have good opinions/suggestions in these cases
To be honest I am very upset, but I am trying to calm down. You did not do anything for revenants. These ‘buffs’ are just a joke as you can see in the revenant forum. Let’s take it 1by1:
*Searing Fissure, Temporal rift – to be honest it should be fixed like 12 months ago, but I appreciate that a lot. In fact it is a useless buff, because revenant has only 1 condi weapon and anyway the condi build is not good at all. Low dps in PvE and bad condi preasure in PvP.
*Centaur stance – minor buffs, because alacrity stacker rev wont appear in pve. He would lose so much dps and he wont be better then druid as a healer either. Just 1 mesmer can provide like 80% of time alacrity. Anyways almost every weapon skill looks like an assasin’s one so why do you want to create a healer from assasin/tank? Also we cant camp a legend so this change wont change anything, because we can not become a healer ever.
*Dwarf Stance – PvP buffs are pointless, because this stance will never be a pvp one. Why? Because we have so many energy hungry spells like Taunt and The road + huge animation time on Elite and Heal. Pve – Vengeful Hammers buff is quite nice, but still this skill is bugged so I am not happy at all either. At least its a little bit better then nothing.
*Unyielding Anguish – I dont have much to say about that, because a condi based stance gets a buff on worthless spell(still too expensive) and the buff is a flat damage so its like +250 dmg on that spell. So this one I count like a joke too.
*Burst of Strength – This buff is nice, but it affects only WvW and PvE so it could be like 50%, but even the 25% is fine.
What did we expect? Some of these changes(not all and these are just examples):
*bug fixes- I mean the weaponspells
*condi cleanse (swapping stance – 1 condi clear and staff 4 – 2 condis clear is not really enough in this ‘meta’ at all)
*Fix energy cost in non-herald stances or rework them, because they are just not good at all.
*Remove energy cost on weapon skills, because they already have cooldown so its just a double punishment
*Give us another power/condi weapon
*More damage on staff AA and rework staff 2, because now we use staff just because we dont have any other option
*Let us swap legends faster for a more dynamic gameplay. Something like 5s would be cool.
*Maybe add a F3 support spell or condi clease or something else
