Have they announced new armor coming for HoT? It seems like they would, and all the characters in the elite spec news posts have new armors I think. Especially with the Berserker and Revenant armors, I am really looking forward to them and want to hear more about it soon. Or did I already miss it?

Elite Spec Weapons bound on Traits

Back when the HoT Elite Specs were first being announced, they mentioned that that would be how you access the new weapons. It seems that the firs trait in every Elite Spec will allow access to the weapon and provide another bonus of some sort.

Essentially, Elite Specs seem to be like fill-in classes. So if you want to be a Reaper, greatsword will probably be the primary weapon of choice. Dragonhunter – Longbow, Druid – Staff, etc. However, you could be a Mace/Shield Dragonhunter or a Staff Reaper. They just offer a new way to play your profession.

Revenant Elite Spec

Hey guys, I know a lot of people have been trying to figure out the elite specs for the thief and warrior, but I am really curious about the revenant’s spec. Just wondering what some of you all might think it will be?

My guess is a Demon Hunter or “Mist Hunter” sort of deal, seeing as the Revenant is a master of spirits, and so far the class seems rather close-ranged (even the staff). So for the elite spec it should make sense to give it something ranged like a shortbow, right?

What are your thoughts?

Well, since we have already seen that the Engineer is getting the hammer and flying bots, here is my idea;

Aeronaut: Engineer
Weapon: Hammer
Mechanic: Aeronautical Modification

Hammer – Melee capabilities, CC with magnet-themed abilities, close ranged AoE (and Turret Heals?)

Engi clearly lacks melee and really needs the hammer. nuff said.

Aeronaut – Turn turrets into slightly less effective, but flying bots that follow you.

I know I have placed a turret, and then the fight quickly moves out of the turrets’ AoE circle and they become pointless. Following bots would be much more useful, but for balance it would make sense to make them weaker or less effective to some degree. But totally worth it.

The Aeronaut would fit very well into the GW2 universe as well, with air ships and steampunky feel to some things. I would not be surprised if this actually turned out to be something very close to the Engi Elite Spec.
