Hey all!
I’m currently on Eredon Terrace and I heard that it was the lowest population of all the realms, and I’m wondering how much of this is true.
If it’s true, is it possible to transfer realms without paying money for gems?
I heard you can delete all characters and then change home worlds. If I do that, does my gold get deleted as well as the crafting mats and stuff?
I’ve never even gotten to level 80. I’m trying my hardest but every zone is empty and I’m not seeing any guilds advertising that they want some players. :\. I think a guild is pretty critical in the enjoyment of the game, so if anyone can help me out, that’d be great.
I’m in love with my ranger at the moment. I can’t even tell you why… the pet AI isn’t the best. But boy oh boy is it fun
I recommend that new players go to Queensdale and join the train all the time.
I’m glad to hear the RNG worked out for you!
It’s good exp, good loot, easy game play and there is plenty of time to socialize in /map chat while you’re learning the game.
You hit the nail on the head for me! It’s been a great time so far to gain some friends and stuff as I play!
ugh, the train
don’t run it too long or often
it’s mindless chore grinding like that that’ll make you sick of the game
Oddly enough, I like mindlessly grinding. I can multi-task and do other things. But I know what you mean. I feel that I was burnt out when it first started because I didn’t really take any breaks. I played from sun up til sun up. Often times, I’d sleep for 6 hours and wake up and not move again. I don’t have a choice now. I can no longer do that as I have harder classes, and more responsibilities. But I’m just now rounding out at level 20 and I’ve had a blast so far.
So, first day back since the game launched. (I quit pretty soon after). I was running train (back in my day, we had friends help us). Open up the bags they drop, and I got Stardust and Lord Taeress’s Shadow back to back. I got told this wasn’t really normal (keep in mind, I’m only level 16.)
I was pretty happy so I felt the need to share with you guys. BACK TO TRAIN! CHOO CHOO!
How much content did I ACTUALLY miss?
If you been gone a year, you missed alot of living story alot of it you want be able to do. There are some permanent editions to the game such as a new twilight arbor path, new fractals, and tequatl boss fight you can check out but not alot.
I heard a little bit about ascended and stuff like that. Could I get a little insight on that and how it works and stuff?
Ascended gear isn’t that big of a leap over exotic in terms of stats, they have upped weapon and armor crafting professions to 500, added new materials, and required alot of materials that previously had no value. Crafting this armor is also time gated if you don’t want to buy the time gated materials off the trade post. If you been out for a year and before laurels came out, you got quite a bit to do to get this gear.
Is there any incentive to doing crafting and stuff?
Your motivation to craft is ascended equipment as it is the only way other than drops inside fractals of getting weapons and armor.
Hows the playerbase?
Alright I guess? I don’t wonder outside my own guild much. As far as guilds they don’t have much of a use outside of buffs and guild missions….. when you find out about those.
Are the guild chats normally active? I’ve found a good guild keeps me coming back more than content itself does.
Greetings!
I’ve been away from the game for what seems like… well, a really long time. I burnt myself out by over-playing when the game first came out and I feel like it’s time to give it another go.
I’ve been playing WoW recently as it’s done wonders to kill my boredom. The PvP, however, at the end of an expansion is always a really bad experience and it’s left a sour, bitter taste in my mouth. We’ll refer to that as “vinegar” for now.
You see, with vinegar, I had a purpose for a while. I leveled to endgame and then spent a lot of time trying to get endgame gear (which, by the way, doesn’t take nearly as long as it used to). Anyways, I’m burnt out. Arenas are FOTM only classes and CC in the game shares no DRs (There’s 14 different DR categories. If you so desired, you could have someone CC’d for 24 seconds if chained correctly).
Now that I’m moving on from that game, I’m looking to get BACK into GW2. Lemme just get my wallet out so I can resu—- nah. Glorious buy-to-play model. ArenaNet, how I salute thee.
I’ve read the news article about the “2013 in review” thing that explains all the things that came in with the year. I gotta say, it’s impressive. ArenaNet is cranking out updates faster than most games can think about new content. Props to you folks. But reading about it can really only tell you so much. How much content did I ACTUALLY miss? Am I gonna have fifteen servings on my plate and I can never finish them? Or is it gonna be one serving with the option of fifteen desserts?
One thing I kinda liked about WoW was it’s gear-grind, but not to that extent. How important is gear now? I heard a little bit about ascended and stuff like that. Could I get a little insight on that and how it works and stuff? Is gear more important than what was made out to be upon release of the game? Are there major stat differences?
Another thing: Crafting is something I could never get into. It’s so monogamously boring. Is there any incentive to doing crafting and stuff? Or is it just more-or-less a novelty thing, with the exception of a few things?
Hows the playerbase? A big thing I’ve noticed in other games is that guilds aren’t really guilds… they’re a hub were people beg for things from other players and then get made fun of. But this being “GUILD Wars 2” I figure, hey, guilds gotta play a big part… eh? Are guilds a really big thing or are they just kinda there as I’ve seen in other MMOs (Not even just WoW).
Looking forward to your opinions.
And if you guys would wanna leave your names ands tuff so I can have friends to play with, me love you long time.
