@Serval: I was thinking about that and I definitely plan to mess around with that at some point. My thought process was that its a pure support build so the only stats that I really need are Healing power, Vit, and Toughness. Also this lets me use the metric kitten ton of mango pies and ommnom berry bread that I have.

I’ve been messing around with a pretty fun build that I run in a WvW havoc group, 100% boon duration.

For gear I’m running full soldier (this could be subbed out for sentinel’s)
Runes: x2 Superior rune of water
x2 Superior rune of the monk
x2 Superior rune of the Traveler

Weapons: Staff/Hammer (both soldier’s/sentinel’s)
Sigil of momentum in the staff
Sigil of energy in the hammer

Trinkets are full givers (snowflake) with Platinum Doubloon’s in every slot except for the back piece
I use a Soldier’s Beta fractal back piece, So use what ever you feel is best here.

Traits:
Zeal:0
Radiance:0
Valor:10-IV
Honor:30- II, IX, XI
Virtues:30- IV, IX, X

Slot skills: Shelter, “Retreat”, “Stand your ground”, “Hold the line”, and Renewed Focus

If they can fix the LB fury bug that fast why don’t they do anything to the busted pet mechanic?

There is a ranged aspect but it isn’t exactly top tier. Ranger is more of a skirmisher that constantly swaps between pets and weapons. With constant pet management and proper positioning rangers are great in 1v1 and 1v many. A lot of playing a ranger is just becoming accustomed to the class. The ranger isn’t for everyone and it takes some skill and fenece, knowing how mobile you can be with certain skills is also very important.

Yes and this is why confusion got nerfed by 50% and the best wvw build for mes got mega kitten And think about it this way, you could be a ranger this patch

I currently play a lvl80 ranger, it’s fun and all but it’s just not a class that I can really fall in love with. So what are some tips and tricks that I should know about playing a Mesmer? Feel free to post builds and advice, thanks in advance!

I’ve already heard all of the QQ about ranger pets being bad or being killed easily. But what pets do you feel are the best for what situation. Also feel free to include some Bm builds that you are using.

How does everyone feel about being called “op” by other classes? Does this mean a movement towards more melee oriented ranger builds?
