I´ve been playing GW2 since the pre-order headstart and decided about 6 month ago i want a legendary. From this moment on i saved up every ecto and t6 mat i got during fractals, wvsw, dungeons etc. because i wanted to play the game “the fun way”. About 1 month ago i had Gift of Fortune, Gift of Mastery and Gift of Twilight and only the precourser missing.
Some guild mates were stuck on the same progress of there legendary. We decided to throw 625g togheter and put 2150 rare greatswords (all self crafted) into the mystic forge, from this we got 2 Dusk and exotic greatswords worth ~200g. From this point on we startet farming CoF p1 together and placed the money on our guild bank. Every time we hit enough gold we bought another precourser from the TP.
Right now we all have our legendarys and about 500g left to farm to even up the money each one of us has received.

U guys should stop complaining about the costs of a legendary, only cause it looks that mutch on the first view. Its a long term goal if u dont have 1k+ gold safed up from playing the TP but it´s doable. Maybe u should think about doing it as a group goal like we did, that makes it more enjoyable.

Do you know how hard is to find a friendly guild in this game? Also if you don’t have any friends or you’re not part of some specific group in the guild, FORGET about getting help. I’ve been in 2 large guilds, and every time i need something, no one is ever available to help me, but i see a lot of others members asking for help and getting helped.

This is an issue i know… i have played many mmos and one thing i learned is not the big guilds grant u help, the small ones do. My actuall guild has 5-15 people online at a time, and we all know eatch other, normaly one asks for help xy and the others help until everyone got what he needs.

What i tried to say OT u should not see the legendery as a single player goal with all ur attention on it. You only have the save the mats u get by playing, and think about other ways than doing it all on your own.

I got the Gift of Mastery, Gift of Fortune and Gift of Twilight. Dusk is waiting at my guilds bank for me. I just have to wait until 3 more Precursors are in there cause we farm them all together (a more fun way than grinding on our own).
