I’m surprised your current PC even runs GW2!

I’d recommend spending the extra 100 USD and getting a GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R9 380 (OR the non-rebranded card, if it’s cheaper).

1GB VRAM is on the really low end these days.
I have an old PC I occasionally use with a GTX 580 with 1.5GB VRAM, it still has plenty of horsepower, but in modern games easily runs into VRAM issues.

Thanks for answering my question, it’s essentially what I suspected.

I feel bad for whoever lost their items previously.

So I pre-ordered HoT Ultimate, the email that gives me my bonus items states:
“These items can only be obtained by one character. Please be sure not to delete the character that receives them.”

It is the 2nd sentence that worries me.

I opened the mail on a new char as I didn’t want to clutter my inventory, but most items were usable (as skins, etc), and I transferred the decoration token to my bank.

Now it should be safe to delete that character, right? I have no items on it that I want to keep. Or did I magically link it to something related to HoT/my pre-order.

An official response would be appreciated, thanks a bunch!

I’m not sure what portion of that scenario you’re frustrated about. Are you talking about the double-tap to dodge messing up your whirlwind from the stolen axe? If so, you can turn off double-tap dodges using the game settings.

No, he’s talking about when you’re in the attack and dodge, you often don’t actually dodge. And I agree with OP.

If I remember this problem used to exist for dagger storm, but that’s ok now. It’s also only logical that if you can dodge during the elite, you should be able to dodge while using the steal.

But in all seriousness, I think you’re playing him wrong, look around in this section for builds/advice.

I started out as thief and still main him, with all my stealth/dodge and other tricks I can solo champs if I have a lot of time in pve. And do pretty amazing in sPvP, I guess thief is more pvp oriented anyway.

So after not playing the original story for a while, I decided to finish the last 4 missions of the story, so I chose the played trough the mission “Further into Orr” and chose Whispers’ Plan, all was well until I completed “Ships of the Line”, which reset my progress to having to start the mission “Against the Corruption”! My Story journal confirms this!

Not cool and/or fun!
Please help!

BTW: I read a topic about a story reset due to playing co-op and playing the mission 1 month after launch. I did not do either of those. (I didn’t even have the game then.)
