I have the same problem. Just kileld him on Piken 10 min ago.
I was on turrets the whole time and got no dragon chests. 1 one normal reward chest that popped up on the right after the event was done (1 rare bow in it) and i got to open the big chest on the shore (greens and blues in it) But no extra dragon chests rewards or anything.
I got the Kill teq achivement.
I love most of the jumping puzzles and my guild is having a blast doing them. Sure some cursing is involved but to complete them is always rewarding. Group screenshot at the chest! 
Though jumping as a charr is horrendous! The camera is really weird (This probably applies for norn too) and it’s hard to see where you want to begin your jump on ledges, and where you want to land when charrs are jumping on all 4 feet.
Oh the mount issue again hehe.
I have no need for mounts as I prefer the waypoint system and think it is superior.
However if they do implement mounts I really really hope they at least make them unusable in towns. I do not need to have your epic flying dragon flapping it’s wings at my camera in the tight indoor area when i need to use my bank or talk to the npc at the bar. The interiors are beautiful
no “horseleavings” on the carpet please.
Personally i love the staff look so it is individual. It got so much of GW1 left in it but with a gw2 twist
As long as there are people buying what the gold sellers offer, there will always be gold sellers and the likes. They will find a way :l Supply and demand.
A permanent solution would probably be impossible but as long as the playerbase help report, A-net can keep the ban-hammer in motion and work with detecting exploits, it will be fine.
Also I like to see it like King Arthur said it. every ban is a $60 donation for A-net
