I agree, very nice work! Sadly, I lack any sort of drawing capabilities myself, but I’d love to see what others in the thread are capable of!
Still in the process of collecting, very few have been added from outside sources (people other than me) :
Very nice collage, although I immediately noticed a distinctly non-Charr anatomical feature tucked away in there.
Spoilered for those who haven’t taken a look at the full image yet. Because I-don’t-know-why-not
I blame the general lack of interesting color combinations. While very realistic, many of the color choices are somewhat dull.
I am red and black, but my second charr is a pale yellow and white but, the armor makes it appear as though they are nearly entirely white. I do no use the Tiger stripes, but I do believe the chosen face is one of the most commonly used ones.

You could probably make up a language solely for RP purposes. Hell, if you define it well enough post it up here for the rest of us to use!
Just keep in mind what kind of sounds you want it to make. Because of the kittenery, Charr language would probably contain a lot of sharp and rough sounds- K’s, Z’s, D’s and so on.
Example: Kranot de utaan ze bressi o de kas. (Gibberish, just an example of how it could look).
If you do consider constructing your own language, I recommend The Language Construction Kit The website (and it’s book, more over) has lots of fascinating linguistic tidbits, providing an interesting read whether your looking to create a simple letter substitution or a full fledged, usable fictional language.
A number of savanna dwelling mammals use horns as a body temperature regulator.
In these cases the horns are strewn with a mesh of blood vessels which carry body heat up into them and allow the horns to act like a radiator. The expansion or contraction of the the blood vessels regulates the flow of blood through the horns and thus, the flow of body heat.
This would make a fantastic thread for pictures of holiday themed gear!
I don’t have any of the new skins, so I just dyed my existing stuff. Err, hmm. I don’t look very enthusiastic about it in that pic…
Since the Wintersday update, I’ve gotten stuck on the Map loading screen for Black Citadel and Gendarran Fields (2 of the 6 zone’s I’ve loaded today.)
The stalling occurs in much the same fashion as it did in the second (or 3rd, I forget) to last beta event. The loading icon will sometimes continue and I can see my hard drive is blinking occasionally. However, after 10+ minutes, (my normal load time is between <1 & 3 min) it’s clear that it’s not responding.
The computer will not respond to alt+tab or Ctrl+Alt+Del and requires a soft reboot, so it may possibly still be a problem on my end.
EDIT:
Also forgot to mention that once I have reentered the game, the loading screens will complete in their usual time. I’ve never been stuck twice in a row.

I’m instead playing Mass Effect 3 and reminding myself why I loved and continue to love the geth so much.
I’m more of a Reaper fan, myself.
As was said above, Tarnished Coast always has somebody around and I see a decent number of Charr show up for Dragons. Enough that I almost always see one new Charr char per event. Then again I have an awful memory for the names of people I know, let alone strangers whose presence repeatedly coincides with the area of my own.
Overall it does kind of feel a bit deserted; as laggy as the dragon events get, it’s never enough people to push me into overflow. Then I just look at our WvW score and realize that they’re probably all doing that.
I initially took Artillery Barrage first, but found Warband Support much more entertaining after I got it.
Now, is this a hypothetical “take one, never receive the other”, the normal “Which do I get first before I inevitably have them all”, or just a discussion of “Which do you think is more fun?”
TBH I think racials should have been left out of the game altogether. They just can’t actually be useful and still fit their idea that all races are equally good for any class, which leaves us with novelty skills that are barely, if ever, worth actually using. That just makes them feel cheap and junky.
You can take my Charrzooka when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!
Err, I mean ‘I disagree.’ I think the racials adds a fun bit of extra variety to the classes. Not everything has to be optimized, and many of the skills aren’t totally useless.
I agree with the thread author. I think the Warband skill needs either a longer duration, or shorter cooldown. Although I think the latter is more likely than the former. It’s just no fun to use (unlike the Charrzooka or Battle Roar.) I feel much the same way about the Artillery Barrage’s bizarrely short targeting range.
Tarnished Coast seems to have an appreciable amount of Charr. Although, I’ve never been to other servers so I don’t really have anything to compare it with.
However, our high level Charr zones also seem largely bereft of players. I think that might just be the norm.
I’ve finally hit 80 and wanted to update my post with my new look. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to edit posts on the forum… can we even edit posts?
EDIT: Ah Ha! NoScript’s auto-forbid of Cloutfront.net was to blame. Strange piece of functionality to not come standard, but at least I’ve figured it out.
At any rate: The first image is just after purchasing my new Priory Coat. The second picture is another picture of what I was wearing in the ~30s-50s from my previous post, for comparison.
Now I just need some better dyes…

Avy Viltigs in her, erm… natural state. I decided the play Guardian with a challenge: no armor. I allow myself rings (and other accessories like them) but otherwise just the naked truth!
…OK, so the staff is just for posing here. Normally, it’s a mace and torch or shield, but they’re not very photogenic. I expect I’ll give up this challenge before long. If I do, I will likely revert to color schemes like the ones I picked out during character creation.
A very old picture, but I like the way it shows the face. I’ve also attached the look he had at the starting cinematic. He’s a bit short, not very musclebound, but rather clever of mind.
While I agree that retreat is a valid military tactic, I wouldn’t mind if they said something else; maybe something comical. “Charge Backwards!”
Foxes seconded.
Charr Iron Legion Engineer. This image is a bit out of date, but I still look mostly the same.
