As a partially sighted player, the ability to set fonts and move UI elements to maximise visibility without hampering gameplay is crucial to me. I got the game a few days ago, but already find the UI less than user friendly (…for me as a user) & that it interferes with playing and enjoying the game.
Specifically:
1. The chat font is less readable than Arial and can’t be increased beyond “large”
2. The map is stuck at the bottom right or top right.
3. The quest log is stuck at the top right or beneath the map if the map is moved to top right.
4. The character interaction text is stuck near the top of the screen.
WOW + clearfont + MoveAnything = fully movable and resizable UI
SWTOR has fully movable UI elements.
I know that GW2 is neither of these (…which is why i’m playing it), but they do show that implementing these basic accessibility features is not a game-breaking or onerous task.
(also, when in map mode, it would be useful to have move + right-click = rotate character, rather than moving the map (which is already implemented as left-click + move).
