I play my 80 engineer now and then, and like my build, but grenades are going to give me carpal tunnel and RSD. I have brought this up to Anet before, as it is somewhat of a serious matter.
My idea to fix grenades so users dont hurt themselves is this:
Make grenades likes homing shells from Mario Kart. This way they still hit a target if it blocks LOS (like current nades) and allows players to evade them etc (like current nades). They could even look like those little wind up bombs with feet.
It also seems odd that the mine kit does not have anything special to it, while the bomb kit has many different attacks. Maybe combine these so bombs are more like mines (explode when someone is near), but have the same attacks as bombs do now.
This comes straight out of wyle coyote! A pistol or rifle that is like a cannon or big shotgun, with several smaller missiles, guns, weapons coming off of the main one.
I think it should shoot big black bullets, like from Mario.
I am an avid TpVp plaver, and while I focus on 1 to 2 classes, I think it is important to know your competition. I spent some time with a ranger, and had an idea on how to make them more valuable in TpVp.
What I would really like to see are arrow stances. 4 stances.
1) Arrows that have a chance to bleed, and a lesser chance to cripple
2)Arrows that apply tar stacks, when they are hit by fire, they explode and get burning stacks
3)Arrows that have a chance to poison and remove a boon
4)Arrows that have a chance to cause vulnerability or weakness
I think this would make the condition ranger a much more dynamic class, giving them a variety of roles in a fight, and it wouldnt just be about bleeds.
Also the longbow needs a faster attack speed. If the dps was calculated on a longbow power build, I bet it would be extremely low. No enemy in tpvp will care about intermittent hits of 1k-1.4k
