When a thief is dual daggers, he has plenty of opportunity to be able to go invisible. However, every time he uses a skill that lets him go invisible, there is a 5 second cooldown that stops him from going invisible again, regardless of it being an attack or a skill. They have already been nerfed because thiefs use to be able to CnD and Backstab 2x in a row with no cooldown. If you run into a thief that is constantly going invis… just swing your sword or use some roots/ CC. Being invis does not mean being invincible. I take out thiefs who use shadow refuge all the time because i know he is stuck in that small circle and ill just use all of my AoEs in the circle. Half the time I fight a thief that likes invis, I spam abilities and they wind up dead. So take it to the thief and dont just sit there and take that CnD attack.
The lag or something makes it impossible to stun or use manual attack. They don’t hit and they don’t work. Aoe didn’t seem to have effect since there was well over 10 people at a time spamming Aoe. Personally I did traps, stunning and rooting with no success since the maximum time he was visible was just the visual effect of him going into stealth, so we didn’t even have time to click on his name. This was in the lord room. At the camp the maximum time I saw him was 1,5-2 seconds and most of time it was way under that time period.
He was visible quite a lot more than the thief that we fought earlier. It’s pretty ridiculous though.
Could someone confirm if this is a bug/abuse or something you intend to let happen in the future?
Today our guild was playing some WvW.

There was something that was really odd in the fights. It was the way enemy army fought. They kept pushing forward in huge numbers. They never built siege. They move in one group. They never defend the tower they took and they always push to the legendary guards and die there.
Abaddon’s Mouth had TONS and TONS of bot’s in their line up. That’s really, really frustrating to play against even they are a lot easier to beat. Numbers always beat quality.
I hope that Guild Wars developers address this issue, because it’s really taking a toll in our lines at Aurora Glade. I am not seeing bot’s everywhere, but it is so blatant. They raid camps, farm krait’s and sometime they raid towers in greater numbers. But it’s not humanly behavior to go into legendary guards in big mass and die there.

I already reported this as a bug and I am wondering if other people have experienced it too.
Thiefs holding capping points with infinite stealth. We pushed to a keep through a long siege operation and when we finally got there. We held the Keep Lord’s room for at least 15 minutes. First minutes it was totally empty and it started capping but then it stopped. We saw the stealth animation now and then in the circle but we never saw the thief.
We spread aoe around the circle and tried to caught the thief off guard but it seemed impossible. We weren’t able to target it or get it in a downed state. And there was a lot of us. That should already tell to you that I am not exaggerating that it was stealth all the time. The lag might have helped it but later after this incident we tried to take a supply camp and there we were able to see the thief and immediately after the thief hit something, it disappeared.
This can’t be what the developers of GW2 want with thief’s abilities.
Summary: This was a really annoying day and so have been the last 1,5 months in WvW. Playing against bigger servers with bot’s after our first loss, because free server change made it possible for people to change server and make our server empty. Also the night gab has really been hurting us a lot. Last week the enemy had three orb’s before we even started and that’s where the downhill really started.
Our guild doesn’t want to change the server and go to the bandwagon. Even we wanted, we would lose all the influence our guild has.
The orb bonus doesn’t help the servers who are behind from the start. It makes it impossible to recover.

Today our server Aurora Glade was playing against other servers and there was one thief who held the keep from our whole server. We tried putting aoe spells down but he was able to be hidden for almost 100% of the time. He just had to hit one person to go back to invisibility. We lost the keep to enemy zerg even we held the spot for at least 15 minutes.
This happened for a second time with a supply camp a while after the first incident.
It can’t be possible that this is your intention with thief’s abilities. I hope for immediate fix on this as all our efforts to take those places were in vain and no aoe or targeting was able to take him down.
