I am a bit saddened that most of the responses are “you should have known” or “you should have prepared”. Here’s the thing: I wouldn’t have made the transfer HAD I known. I do not frequent these forums or get involved in discussions outside of the game..I play in the game only and never knew guesting would even exist. The login screen as far as I know did not announce the change until after I had already transferred (or at least I did not see it).

All I can say is I haven’t played since the change and I likely won’t again for a while. It costs 1000gems to transfer back to my homeworld and I just can’t do that. I know many won’t care but I’m just saying the game has currently lost one avid player until further notice.

I do not post much on this forum but have been an avid player of GW2. I have ran into a huge problem recently with the new guesting feature. While I do like the idea, the paid transfer has killed things for me.

My story is that approximately 1 week ago I did a server transfer (for the first time ever) just to play with a few friends from another server. Most of my friends however are on Ferguson’s Crossing and so I was fully planning to transfer back after the 7 days. I did NOT see that transferring back was going to cost gems before I made the move or I wouldn’t have done it.. Now it costs a LARGE amount (out of my budget) to transfer back. I am extremely sad about this…I likely won’t play again for a while. So my suggestion stands and if anybody has a better one I would like to hear that as well. Thanks for reading.
