The first point made by Hooglese.4860 is a big point to consider. I would hate to end up in a position where if you show up as a ranger, the other players expect you to be a druid. That was a major problem in GW1 with the monk. And while it is true that the glyphs do not offer much in protection, stability, stunbreak, and so forth it is also true that the ranger has access to utility skills and traits elsewhere to make such considerations irrelevant.
The bigger issue I see is the druid being useless in most areas of game play with only a couple of notable exceptions. I would like to see some of the healing skills in the ranger form (non-celestial form) actually be damaging. Instead of a “selfish” druid, let it be an “angry” druid. Plant based attacks or ground based damage. “One bone broken for every twig snapped underfoot.”
