Well I wasn’t disconnected, but I died in a place I was afraid I wouldn’t get revived, as Ancient Karka was going back down the ramp, so I ported to the point lion waypoint and started to make my way back, and it was defeated less than a minute later, with me out of the event range, no credit for all the work I’d done, and by the time I got back the chest had already despawned.
I can understand you don’t want people “tagging” events as they run through on their way to somewhere else, but when a certain amount of effort is accumulated, whether or not you’re inside the event zone (or even logged in), you should be eligible to collect rewards commensurate with that effort. Two hours of work (or more) with no reward is not the way to run things in a game.
