Guild Wars 2

Been playing PvP a lot since the Tuesday patch. Going to voice my opinion below.

- Have to sit in HoTM, Anet say this is due to people maybe being in a cutscene etc, surely just block living story access while in a queue. and with such short queue times, who even has time to queue for PvP then go, “oh i’ll just do my LS”.
I always use to work towards my 100% map complete while queuing for pvp, now I’m forced to watch people argue in mapchat. (only when people don’t hit that ready button, longest queue I had was 18 mins on Wednesday, 18 mins of mapchat in HoTM makes my eyes bleed)

-When queue pops and you are in your inventory its hard to see, many times I’ve been opening chests, and salvaging, and barely made the click in time. if it could be bought to the front of any windows you have open it would be great.

-Why have such a long countdown once you enter the map, we already went through the confirm and map vote, 1min 20 is way to long.

-Unranked seems to have just taken on everyone who would have normally done hotjoin, wording the lowest choice as practice could be to some people a game mode to very much avoid, meaning they flood the one above, meaning unranked will flood ranked.

-What was wrong with a separate queue for teams of 5v5, I’m aware your system tries to match duos with duos or trios with trios.

-It may be a good idea to lock out low level characters from ranked (just ranked), I don’t trust someone who has just created a lvl 1 character and jumps straight into a ranked game, affecting my mmr.

-TDM game type courtyard is just a joke in ranked and unranked, I’m pretty sure I’ve won more than I’ve lost there, but I never feel proud being the first team to “camp their spawn”. I’d gladly have the underwater map back over this any day.

- An afk report option would be welcome for PvP too.

It just seems that the issues with PvP was the balance of classes, not how the UI looks (although the new look is sexy) 4v5’s were a real pain before the patch, but all we needed to do was punish players massively for leaving even just one game.

Sorry to rant, but I’ve spend hours and hours in PvP since Tuesday and just had to see if anyone felt the same to my above points.

Think this might be the best place to post this.

I love this game, got it on release day, but to be honest my mates are not into mmo’s so I find myself disliking the solo questing, etc.
and I know people will think oh join guilds, but to be honest most of them are just to quiet and they don’t really help out those who have not been part of that guild since it was founded.

So basically if you are new or creating a new character, join the Darkhaven server and add me in game, Hinata Leafshot.

I log in a lot but find myself trying to 100% areas on my own, or if I fall a few days behind on the living story achievements there is no one around to do them, so if you are like me and love this mmo but don’t have mates that own this game, add me

After the most recent patch i am now unable to play GW2.

I logged in today and was unable to right click on any world objects like wood etc, no animation so i quit to desktop (using the option not closing via task manager) the game then froze completely.

Logged back in and waypoint do not recognize that i am stood right below them, i’m getting attacked by invisible mobs and all of a sudden they show up dead but not lootable, still cannot farm any materials.

Have logged off and on 3 times ran around thrying to see if i can fight mobs (when i press my attacks they just glow and i get no animation at all, then the mob randomly appears dead at my feet??)

If i had the install disc i would re-install and see how this goes but stupidly i got the digital editon and my broadband is not superfast this would take a very long time to download the whole client again.

Is anyone else having these issues?
