So a while ago I was finaly able to choose Blacktide as Home World server. It was really painful (took about 4 days of constant server checking) to camp for a space on a server… but it is possible…

But now another of our friends bought the game and wants to join us on Blacktide so of course it’s camping time for him.

Let me just repeat some of my earlier questions:

• If you choose another homeworld server, is the server changing option still free?

• If it’s free, is there any ETA on when it’s going to change to paid?

• If it’s still free with 7-days restriction, when does the 7-days start? Can i change the server right after i chosen my Initial Home World and the next change can be done after 7 days? Or do i need to wait 7 days after choosing the Initial Home World?

It would be really helpful if anyone could answer any of these three questions.

As a bonus, I’ll add an image that haunts all who want to play on the Blacktide server. Of course, the Happy House icon is only at the end of a long and painful road.

So today i fixed the Black Lion Trading Company by runing the game as administrator. BLTC was all blank for me, now it works fine (hopefully i wont get many other problems with it that other people have).

But when i run the game as administrator the additional mouse buttons (forward, back) dont work. I can’t bind them to anything, the game just doesn’t react to them like they were not working at all.

When i alt+tab and check them in web browser etc. they work fine, so its just an ingame problem.

They work fine in game if i run it normaly but then the BLTC dont work.

System: Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
Mouse: Logitech Performance Mouse MX

I will be thankful for any help and suggestions.

The BLTC’s is blank for me since i bought the game about 2 weeks ago.

1. I can see that there are alot of problems regarding BLTC

2. I just love how in many threads the official reply is that they want to help us but they just can’t reproduce the problem and its not wide spread.

3. The blank BLTC seems to be so popular in the game that it turned out to be a normal thing and noone seems to be surprised by it anymore. When i ask about it in game people just reply with “its not working”.

4. What’s even more funny/interesting is that when i told people that one of my friends is able to acces and use BLTC normaly everyone on the server was so suprised that they just thought I was lying.

5. It looks like the BLTC is not working for so many players that if they dont read forums and wont search the problem online they just assume the service is officialy offline.

6. What suprises me the most is why this problem wasnt fixed for such a long time. I mean the BLTC is arena net main source of money is it not? So why didnt they fixed this and why are they acting like its a small problem that only few people have?

OK….. i was just about to go to sleep when i decided to try something obvious and stupid. I forced the game to launch as administrator (even though i’m on administrator all the time) and BLTC works for me now… I checked the forum and few people was able to solve their problem using this solution and some are still unable to use BLTC. Well good luck to everyone ;]

Well great i fixed the BLTC but now the game stopped recognizing additional mouse buttons (back, forward)… Ahh PC gaming at its finest….

I know there are many ppl complaining about server transfers, servers being full etc. But seriously….

All my friends are playing on Blacktide server so naturaly i want to join them and play with them in pve and pvp.

I bought the game on 10.11.2012 around 15:00, since then the Blacktide server is FULL. I work at home so i check the servers status every 5min or so (with few hours of sleep in the middle of the day) I KNOW, ITS CRAZY. I checked it in the morning, in the noon, in the middle of the night, and all day long and its FULL. First i told myself how is it possible for a server to be full 24/7? But well it was weekend so maybe all the hardcore players were online without sleeping. But now its monday…. 7:00am and the server didn’t change its status for at least 40h.

Searching through forums i have found information that players from different timezones are moving to EU servers so that WvWvW mode can be populated 24/7. This means that there is a possibility of server being FULL 24/7…..

All of my friends that are allready on the Blactide server ale able to login and play without a problem, they arent put on a shard or anything so it looks like the server is not so “FULL” after all, but choosing it as Initial Home World is impossible…

Is this on purpose? Is this the way NCSoft or Arena try to lower the population on highly populated servers?

Why theres no queue to registering on servers?

Is there any other option for me to choose Blacktide as Home World?

I rly want to play with my friends and i dont want to choose different server. I dont like to whine about stuff like that on forums but atm i “cant” play the game that i payed alot of money for…
