Apparently there is still a way to get it.

But the armor it links to is actually removed from the game as well. Perhaps it’s still possible to get it from the Forge or Trading Post, though?

I’ve had this problem before, albeit on a Windows 8 laptop. I managed to solve it by going into Control Panel → Power Options → Disable fast startup, and then restarting. Haven’t had a crash since.
