After doing some testing with the new utility conversion rates, there are a few consumable facts that are obscure/inconsistent. As far as I can tell, the utilities only take into account base stats from gear with 1 exception of stats being gained or converted from a trait. Spotter, banners, signets actives/passives, food and anything that gives your stats green numbers are not affected by the conversion calculation. The exception is the new warrior trait “Wounding Precision”, the bonus precision and conversion of precision to expertise shows your gained stats in white numbers and it is affecting the calculation of master tuning crystals and giving you more condi damage. But other traits such as ranger “Lingering Magic” give you 240 concentration with white numbers and is not affecting the calculation of concentration to power from bountiful sharpening stones. Also, the elementalist trait “Aeromancer’s Training” while similar to the functionality of lingering magic of just a flat stat boost, is represented in green numbers and is not calculated in utility conversions. The mesmer skill “Chaotic Transference” grants toughness to condi damage and the stat boost is also shown in white numbers, but toxic sharpening stones do not grant any additional power. I’m sure there are many more cases where flat stats, or converted stats from traits may or may not be represented in white/green text and may or may not be calculated in the utility equation. Can we have some clarity about how the utility is making it’s calculation and why the new warrior trait is affected while other stat changing traits are not?
