Thanks for all the advice so far!
Not a QQ thread and am not looking for “Necro UP” comments. Clearly there are Necromancers out their beastin’ in sPvP and I could sure use some help.
Currently running a pretty standard condition based Necromancer. I fair relatively well in most match-ups besides Mesmers. I have a really rough time dealing with them in general. Most specifically burst based Mesmers.
I’m curious if anyone out there has some general Necro v Mesmer match up tips?
Thanks in advance.

Problem solved.
Anyone find a fix for this yet?
However if I switch it to my headphones there is still no sound as well (only from game client). To this point I have
-Reinstalled the game client
-Open and Closed game client
-Unplugged and replugged all audio devices
-Tried to create Audio via Headphones, Bose setup and the computers internal speakers
-Reinstalled my OSX
-Zapped my computers PRAM and SMC
-Defragged my computer (Zero reason that would solve any issue but I was swinging for the fences on this one.)
My Computer Specs :
iMac 27inch, Mid 2011
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16gig Ram
AMD Radeon HD 6970
OSX 10.8.2
Not sure if the above information will help, but figured it couldn’t hurt
If there are any gurus out there I’d sure appreciate the help.

As the title sugest, I have audio issues on my GW2 mac beta. When I load it for the first time after installation, it works fine. After I close it and load it again the next day, no audio came out.
What I tried:
- plug/unplug headphones
- close and open the client
- reboot mac
- lower the audio settings (to “Fastest”)Anyone had the same issue? How did you fix it? Or is it still there?
TIA
Check the Sound settings in OS X System Preferences and ensure the Output selection is correct. Do this BEFORE starting the GW2 client.
Yep, I have my output sound set to my USB Bose setup and the in game system setting is set to “default device”
Just checkin’ in to see if anyone has found a fix?
I have the same issue with my studio setup (Audiobox USB external audio I/O device) and my 27In Imac I7.
Running a Mid 2011 iMac, 27inch i7 here. Boss USB, for me unplugging the USB didn’t cause any change. Assuming thats true for you?
I have the same problem on a MBP mid-2011, I tried pretty much everything to fix it but no luck. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, it does ruin the game experience a bit.
I’ll agree as a new player to GW only getting half the environment is less than ideal.
Add resetting the PRAM and the SMC to the list. No effect.
I was having the same problem until I switched the system sound from my normal PCI sound card to the internal speakers. Tomorrow I’ll go looking for the right kind of cable to see if it works with the built-in line-out device.
Hmm. I’ll give this a shot. The repair command didn’t work for me. Post as soon as I finish re-downloading the client again lol.
That one’s a no go as well. Guess it’s going to require a patch.

Reinstalling the client didn’t have any effect. Going to try that command line you linked. Downloading xCode now.
Very weird. I’m set the exact same on everything. Still no sound.
Do you think it could have been an install issue of the game client? (i.e. would it be worth trying to reinstall?)

Are the people that aren’t having issues using the buil in speakers? Or do y’all have usb plug ins running? What are you current sound settings (both in and out of game)?
I’ve since also tried opening in both through the dock and the application screen itself. No difference made.
Just trying to keep posted on everything I’ve tried to help trouble shoot
Character continues to run after I stop controlling her.

Pressing the Enter key typically fixes it for me.
27ich Mid 2011 iMac 3.4ghz Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 here.
Still haven’t found a fix for it.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Same thing here.
-Changed every possible setting in game and out of game.
-Unplugged and replugged every audio device.
-Restarted Client multiple times.
-Rebooted Computer
-Reinstalled my OS
I’m pretty sure we’re going to have to watch for a patch Frost.
