Guild Wars 2

The Guilds’ forum section seems to just be a recruiting forum so I decided to post here.

Without an inactivity timer, like in Guild Wars 1, it’s really hard to manage a guild when it doesn’t tell you how long it’s been since someone was last online. If I have a full guild and someone wants to join…I don’t want to randomly think “I haven’t seen this name for awhile.” and then kick them only to find out they just logged out a couple of hours ago.

I know there is a content update in November, hopefully a major guild update. Even if it is not PLEASE ADD THIS IN. I can’t call my guild an active guild if there is 10 people that haven’t been on for 2 or 3 weeks.

IS this being implemented and I just missed it? If not, it’s a suggestion that I’m sure has been passed around all over the place. Just throwing in my two cents.

Please give guilds an inactivity timer for its’ members. Thank you!

I would also like to mention that we are NOT strictly a WvW guild. Our players play all aspects of the game often.

Server transfers need to stop being free, they were only supposed to be free for what? A month? I’m sure we’re past that point if I’m looking at my calendar correctly.

Server balance won’t truly occur until players are forced to pay to play on another server.

I was in HoD during beta…when we were absolutely horrible in WvW. I bought this game most excited for WvW. I got pumped when I realized that Henge guilds formed an alliance for WvW and was excited that Henge would actually be competitive (opposite of what showed in beta)

Along with a great alliance came even more trash and farmers. I didn’t care, I was happy our server was winning.

It got to a point that I wanted HoD to lose, just because of the arrogant thought around Lions’ Arch that “We couldn’t lose” Everyone transferred over to our server and I hated that, I’m all about server pride and I wouldn’t want anyone to think that I transferred to HoD to be on the winning team.

Now we are terrible. There is no one on, ever. It was 8:30 PM Friday and I got into EB with no queue. I’m glad most of them are gone…but I’m sad that our servers’ morale has all but dissipated. I’m working to try and restore some fight with my guild, recruiting any WvW players that want to help make HoD a competitive server so we can actually play the game.

JQ can have the bandwagon…I’ll take my server. At least you know the people still playing WvW on HoD are mostly people who were either there from the start or decided to stick to their guns. For those people, I applaud you.

Let’s face it, ever since TA disbanded, everyone is gone or they don’t play WvW anymore. My guild, Gatekeepers [GATE], is looking to change the trend. We can’t promise #1, but we can promise you that we will restore some pride back into our server. [GATE] is looking to ally with other guilds as well to help restore the morale lost in HoD from getting demolished the past two matchups.
