So this is my problem and its not the first time it has happened, much to my dismay. I login, select my character and load in. As I load in, much to my disappointment the game crashes, bumps me back to the launcher……rinse and repeat.
Now this has happened before, I deleted the Local.dat file, which produced a new error the deathly 58:11:5:128 I believe it was. Anybody got a fix on this issue without me having to go through this ridiculously laborious process of VPN’s and hotfixes?
Here is the solution to the issue. Let me know how it goes

so this is how i solved my problem :
1. connect to a vpn software
2. launch ur gw2 client n it will start updating the hotfix which our client didn’t downloaded
3. have fun
P.S. u dont need vpn software after downloading that hotfix n sry for my bad english
Would just like to verify this post just downloaded CyberGhost 5 and the hotfix is running while i am typing this post. Will also verify if i am able to login after the download is done.

I am currently having an issue with logging into the client. I was having an issue with the client crashing when I tried to load into the world. I ran a repair and now I keep getting a “game client was unable to connect to the log in server…..error 58:11:5:512” I have been playing fine until the last build 2738. Please can someone assist me with some solutions.
I had the same issue. You can delete the local.dat file and do a repair on the file. However this just leads to another bug which gives you a error code on log in. 58:11:5:512 so far 7 hours and I cannot log in

I have issued a ticket and I will wait for a reply…..curious thing happened though. My brother saw my character was in fact online, even though I was not and could not log in. He then proceeded to log in from his PC on my account and he was able to play. So I suspect it has to be related to the client. As I have tried everything I possibly could on my PC
