Guild Wars 2

I’ve tried it now with holding down the spacebar. It takes the same amount of time to deploy the glider.

It doesn’t matter what I try, I cannot get the HP I mentioned, it is impossible. I don’t know what to do except carry around port to friend things and friend random people who are at HPs and get some of them that way. Or go play Fallout 4 instead.

I sympathise, but I’m not sure what you expect them to do about it.
With that ping you must struggle with other stuff in the game too, especially dodging.

I don’t expect them to do anything. A server in Australia would be nice but is just wishful thinking. I was just wondering if I was the only one.

I do struggle with dodging – it is not successful all the time. PvP is also horrendous. I quote another Australian:

It’s just something we have to put up with. But it gets very frustrating.

Tapioca, I never knew that about continuing to press the spacebar. I must have missed that in the glider instructions…(?) I will try that tomorrow when I get over the frustration. Thanks.

I’m in Australia and we are punished in every MMO here because our ping is always high. I average about 400 most of the time. And it is causing major issues trying to glide.

I just tried getting the Pact Airship Wreckage HP in VB about TEN times (following Dulfy’s guide). I did it exactly as she did. I watched others in the game doing it – no problems for them. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to do with my ping. By the time the game has registered that I have jumped AND deployed my glider, I glide in too low, every time. I have tried multiple ways of doing it. If I press the spacebar twice too quickly it won’t register the second press. IT IS DRIVING ME BANANAS!

Some of the HPs I only just scrape in. Is anyone else with high ping having trouble with gliding?

Even when sitting still their wings move with the wind and movement of their body. The glittering wings are so stiff the big bad wolf couldn’t blow them down.

YES! Please! They look like crystal shards sticking out of my character’s back! I was so excited when I saw them – they are indeed beautiful – I bought them immediately. But then I equipped them. Immediately I regretted spending my hard earned money. They just look ridiculous as they are. You guys did the right thing and fixed the other wings when they were stiff as a board. PLEASE fix these ones! The same movement as the other wings would be awesome sauce.
