Q: Why this long of a wait? Why the pricing?

No. This isn’t a question about price. It’s a much more encompassing topic. That is just part of the question. You did a wrong.

Now bear with me here. This is a genuine question coming from a place of curiosity. (Haters will still hate but whatever, let them.)
Why three years? I think we can mostly agree that Living World Season 1 especially wasn’t exactly content worth anybody’s time or looked like actual effort was put into it. Season 2 improved quality overall, but it was very bare bones.
So why three years since release for the first major expansion?
On top of that, why this price tag? Just shy of 35 GBP. (Or your regional equivalent)
We have paid the full price for the base game. (Not including CEs in this line of thought) We have microtransactions backing the game. So why the full price tag for Content objectively less than the base game, which only cost an extra 9 GBPs at release? Why three years of wait? What has gone, quite obviously, wrong?
Hard questions, sure. Those are the fun ones tho. If someone could leave legit answers or an entertaining speculation, that’d be great. ’lol kitten hater’ commenters need not apply.
PS: If moderators could not lock & delete this thread ’cus ’hur durr silence the discord’ that’d be great. Reddit is always a thing after all.
We’ve concluded Chapter 4 of the event, and we’ll be going on a short holiday. Stay tuned for updates!

Event Background:
The Steadyhearts used to be a noble family of medium fame and wealth. Most of their fame came from their devoted service to the Crown and the Gods. They were champions of law and order, guardians of the innocent dating back centuries. Their members followed the teachings of Dwayna and later on, Kormir respectively.
For their unwavering loyalty, a blade was crafted and gifted to the family. A blade which was blessed by the priestesses of Dwayna. Said to be unbreakable.
However eleven years ago, during a centaur raid on their estate, the Steadyhearts all fell. Save the only daughter of Lord Steadyheart, Ann. She had nothing left to go back to. No lands or wealth to warrant her title as a noble. The centaurs took everything from her. Including the family blade.
Recently, Symphony Del Ra, an associate of the woman was leading a Priory dig team while uncovering a long abandoned and they uncovered a broken piece of a sword’s blade. It was estimated to have been laying there in the dirt for years, yet the edges of the fragment was still sharp. The crest of the Steadyhearts was engraved into the fragment.
Now, Ann aims to recover the blade and reforge it. She seeks mercenaries and anyone who’s willing the aid her in this task, as the road will most likely not be without perils.
Summary:
This event will follow Ann and anyone who joins her around Tyria, as she fights to recover pieces of her family’s heirloom to attempt and reforge her past. All is welcome to participate, just make sure you contact either me or an officer of the event to arrange your participation!
I hope this will offer the community a flavour of Roleplay that some might enjoy!
This thread will be updated as the event progresses!

The Ashen Chapter struck another mayor blow against the Risen. This time around, the chapter of the Vigil halted the initial onslaught of the hordes of Zhaitan in the Kessex Hills swamps.
Following their victory, with the help of the Durmand Priory they traced the corruption spreading in the swamp, back into Caledon Forest, just to the south. The chapter discovered the involvement of the Nightmare Court with the Risen. Utilizing both blunt force and technology supplied by their charr and asuran engineer on scene, the Ashens were able to thwart, if not fully wipe out, the spread of the corruption.
Unfortunately, this attracted the attention of a Shadow Fiend, in the form of a giant form. After a lengthy battle, the crusaders defeated the monster. Serious injuries were sustained, but no fatalities occurred.

This will be a short and simple thread.
Dear ArenaNet team,
Please give parties the ability to roll dices with the /roll command. It’d be great if it’d have more functionality. Such as rolling different sided and several dices.
E.g: /roll 3d20 <- means we roll three, twenty sided dices. So we get three different values.
Thank you for considering.
We’ve been roleplaying hard for the past week. Anywhere BUT taverns and capital cities. We aim to take roleplay out of hubs and into the world. If you are interested, contact any of us and we can invite you to our events. Guild member or not!
The Ashen Chapter
“Protect the weak, destroy the wicked, uphold the peace. Act with honour.”
~~ Ashen chapter motto
Background:
One of the orders of Tyria is the Vigil. An army, uniting all races of the world to fight the threat of the Elder Dragons and anything that’d endanger the people of Tyria. They operate with chapters, usually lead by a warmaster. The Ashen Chapter is one of many, but aims to be amongst the most accomplished.
Our goals:
The Ashen Chapter has a clear vision. To become a solid member of the community on Piken Square. We wish to deliver unique roleplay, based around an extremely compelling and rich theme. Not just standing around a tavern all day long. We wish to represent the Vigil as truthfully as possible, within the constraints of the game’s mechanics.
What we offer:
We offer the full Vigil experience package. From polishing the boots of the whole regiment, to taking down minions of the Elder Dragons, or securing peace between different races of Tyria, so all may focus on the real threat. We meet challenges with blunt force, but not without tactics where necessary. So expect high quality military events, as well as political and social ones.
What we are looking for:
The Chapter is looking for dedicated people, willing to follow orders as they are given and sacrificing their lives if needed be. That’s in character.
Out of character, the guild is looking for members who are open-minded, aren’t afraid to initiate and would like to leave something behind for future generations of GW2 players.
Ranks:
Keeping ourselves grounded, without becoming to eccentric and narcissistic, our ranks are as they follow. From lowest to highest.
How to join:
If you are interesting in joining us and taking part in something grand, send an in-game mail to Ann Steadyheart.
Hope to stand alongside many of you against the tide of the Elder Dragons!
