We have been through it all! Countless amounts of nerfs, constant down-talking, lies regarding patches to fix our ever-favorite profession and a blatant lack of people wanting us in their groups.
However, that being said, we can still be the saving grace in many situations! I, myself have led my entire group consisting of mesmers, warriors, and guardians that got wiped on a boss and solo’d it for the win.
We’re much better than given credit for, as we still manage to be viable despite all our hardships, so be proud my friends!
Feel free to share any of your own situations in which YOU were the reason your team succeeded! <3
Next they’ll make Kohler a mandatory fight.
LFG or a Dungeon Queue would be cool. I guess it would reduce the exploration aspect of running to the dungeon to get the WP for it and such, but it would give you something to do and give you faster access to it.
Kind of a silly thing to say. With any of those other games where you have 40+ skills at once, you really only use a few, your “rotation” basically. It just seems like more. You’re given the vital skills that really define your character, nothing more. It’s great.
I think it has something to do with “WTB” and “WTS” spamming in the general or “map” chat. I guess they’d rather have it be a social experience as opposed to seeing your chat box being spammed up with useless items for sale at a ridiculous price.
My Moa is called Duke Von Longshlong
I don’t believe the population is falling, not on my server that is (Yaks Bend), I always see people wherever I go. I would think that more and more people are becoming more widespread across the map, or jumping over to a lower level area to help a new friend level or something like that. It’s a pretty big map for ~1500-2000 people in a full server.
I agree fully! It’s a beautiful thing. I love being able to see more around myself without having to spin my camera every 5 seconds to see my surroundings.
I’m not going to really go into too much detail, assuming most of you will know what I’m talking about. As we all know how the combat works in GW2, I feel that it lacks a “personality” in a sense. I feel as though there’s not much of a threat system (or any for that matter, correct me if I’m wrong), and not very many skills that can greatly affect how a battle plays out. I know there’s the combos, etc, but it still lacks that certain thing.
If we compare GW2 to WoW, you can see a clear difference in battle outcomes and effects skills can have on the entire outcome. One skill used at the exact right time can greatly change the battle in a positive or negative way, as well as the Threat system where someone can increase their threat to pull enemies off of a squishier team-mate, so the DPS focused players can deal massive amounts of damage.
In conclusion, I think there should be some skills tweaked or just all new skills introduced to each character that has a greater impact on the encounters as opposed to just everyone splitting off and attacking everything for the sake of doing as much damage as possible; seems a little repetitive after awhile (still fun, but lacking).
No one needs to agree with me, this is merely my opinion and completely open for criticism and additions!
