Inglorious Scrubs [DPS]
Gunnar’s Hold
Oh, yes please. This is highly annoying, especially when trying to get a mounts only vista. And I bet there will be jumping puzzles where you HAVE to use your mounts, I’m cringing already if it stays like this:S
Closing the recruitment for now as we are trying out the current applicants.
We Need More DPS to [RAID]
Before unleashing Hell in a harmonious and constructive way there are a few points that needs to be clear, so hold your horses, read through and get ready for shinies!
We came up with this idea to make our own raid guild just between good friends, but real life got in the way and some people got too busy before we really got the thing rolling. So now we decided to get out of our comfort zone and try to find like minded people, who want to win the raids while keeping their cool and end it with a grouphug. Or something.
What can you expect?
We are an open minded, nice and friendly group consisting of very different people. Most of us know each other rather well and have been playing together for a while. Some of us are new to raiding, others can be called veterans.
We are all different but we all like to do challenging content in good company and if we don’t manage, we try to improve what we do until we succeed.
Of course we want to win, score the boss kills reliably, tackle the raid wing, at the same time trying to keep in mind that patience, competency, willingness to learn, teach and listen are the keys to succeed.
What do we expect?
A superman. (ok, just kidding:)
But most importantly: a mature person (regardless of physical age).
Someone,
-who is aware that real life comes first, but also who will not waste others’ time by signing up and not coming
-who likes having fun with like-minded people
-who is a bit crazy, but is aware their right to have fun ends where another’s discomfort starts
-who is aiming to resolve the differences with others in calm and polite discussion
-who is goal-driven and wants to succeed, but is aware that learning comes from failures mostly and that everyone has their own pace of learning
-who will not ragequit and will not passively-aggressively hurt the other members
-who does not get discouraged too fast
-who is online at least 2-3 times a week
-who knows at least their main profession well enough/has it equipped, and open-minded enough to willing to experiment
-who does have TS available: mic isn’t needed but welcome, even just being able to listen in during raids makes life much easier
What we don’t ask for?
-8 professions geared up and raid ready
-full ascended
-Eternal title
-gazillion (raid or other) experience
-representing the guild at any time
-amazing singing voice (though it helps)
Of course we got a bit more details:
We are a friendly international group of players (membercount: 22ish, active 12-13ish, though at different times).
Most of the guild is in the GMT and CET (GMT+1) timezone, so expect to see us in the evening hours of those zones, raid times are generally 20:30 CET (19:30 GMT) but on the long run it would be nice to have earlier/later times too.
We don’t tolerate insulting other guild members and other players (there is the case of self-defense of course ). Also constructive criticism is always welcome, what is not: raging, insulting and negative elitism in general.
If you have read to this point, and still interested, check out our forum: http://raid.wobblyhead.net
Please read the applicant’s FAQ and if you want to be a member consider writing up an application. And then check back in a couple of hours, you surely will have some answer there already.
If you are unsure, have some more questions or simply just want to chat before applying, give me a whisper ingame any time: Eili
How do you get the 4 stacks of bleeding easily on to make use of Blood Blond?
About tickets: Saturn shops in Germany still selling some, especially in smaller places. Last year I managed to get some 2 weeks before the event. So if you got a German friend, might worth to ask, it was still fairly easy to get extra two 1 week ago.
On another note I second this!
There was nothing really GW2 there, just some people in the T-Shirts who could have been players or just fans. It was hard to tell if there was someone responsible there….

I’m so going to be there! Got the tickets in April, hoping Anet would be out this year too.
GW1-er here from the start, got to know my husband through the game! Recently we moved to Cologne and been there last year, was a total blast for me. This year we are bringing our 4yo daughter too for a spin (she loves when mummy plays hide and seek with a mesmer/thief:)
It would be indeed wonderful to have some kind of known schedule, as we are coming with three kids (2 godchildren ftw!) on Friday and really need to plan around the children so I might get some try-out and chat time alone.
Rockin a much more traditional shaman look now, I love how the wings match the Malefacterym dagger.
I have a very-very similar set-up on my necro as my main armour set and you can dye the rugged part of the trousers to match the wings perfectly!
Just to remind everyone: the event is happening exactly in 1 hour from now.
yup, +1 on that!
What is this about?
So the thing is that these goggles are a pain…the whole puzzle is very unforgiving, but the last bits are even more, you make a mistake, you die a horrible death flattening out like a pancake. So if you tried it and failed, or have not even tried yet but curious, or did it but want to help others come around Saturday, 24.08 at 7pm GMT+1.
Where is it?
‘Not So Secret is a jumping puzzle in Gendarran Fields with two routes. The first leads to the Not So Secret achievement and the other to a pair of Diving Goggles.’
Details on the wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Not_So_Secret
What is planned?
There are two achievements here, the jumping puzzle (get the shiny chest) and the diving goggles, (hit the water*) needed to complete Dive Master. We will have a mesmer at your convenience at the chest for the first one and then a portal chain up to the goggles (bit more painful) so you only need to get into the retreat where the ship is (it isn’t trivial but shouldn’t be too bad, we can also guide you with that!) and from there just portal them up.
Now the tricky bit is that the dive itself isn’t as simple as you would think. There are several pipes on the way and while falling you need to avoid them, so people tend to die before they get the achievement. Hopefully with the portals you can try to hit that patch of water as many times as you have patience for!
(+info as per previous questions: The event is totally free, no financial contribution is required:)
How long does it take?
It can take 2 minutes and one try, it can take 2 hours and 50, it depends on your skill and luck. We are going to be there to help you for two hours (from 7 until 9pm GMT+1).
What do you need to do?
You need to log on/guest onto Gunnar’s Hold (EU!!!) server on the day, zone to Gendarran Fields (Broadhollow Waypoint) and run towards the Second Aetherblade Site point of interest (see the map on the linked wiki article). Our guides should show you how to get in, then run to the tag (we will use /m to communicate so better keep your red chat ticked in!) and wait for the portal. Then get into your swimwear, dive and hope for the best:)
So if you miss any of those or need your No One Left Behind (‘Revive 1,000 players’) achievement or simply just int he mood to see masses of people jumping off a platform and die miserably while their scattered bodies lie around, this is your opportunity!
If you got questions or something isn’t clear whisper/mail Eili.2186 in the game or here for more information!
PS: Jumping puzzles are a pain when there is a mob trying to hop around so please take note: if you want to jump your way through please be so kind to choose another time as this event is about getting the achievements with the least pain possible.
*You need to hit the water while still wearing the goggles and your undies. This means you can’t bump into anything on the way down, because it results in you losing the goggles and getting your armour back on.

Well, I for one surely would miss if Cantha didn’t make it back in the game. Heck, I’m still logging in GW occasionally of an hour or two just to roam a bit on the starter isle or the Jade Sea. I love the lore and the absolutely amazing design. And while Ascalon always felt like “home” Cantha and its storyline was my very favourite one. Please bring it back!
Ok, so here’s the deal: we are a small guild, always was and probably always will be. I mean c’mon, we started to shudder where there were more than 15 people online. Some of us have known each other for years (having met through Guild Wars), some of us just joined with GW2, some of us grew up in the meantime and stopped playing, some of us didn’t and still playing. By now we are all very important people (having a job, kids, college, mother-in-laws, etc.) but we still like to wind down killing stuff (including enemies controlled by human brain), delivering rabbit food or kick undeads’ kitten
Now the growing up part had the effect that some of the guild deems working late or car washing more important than saving the world and prefers to build real snowmen instead of 2D ones so we got to a point when the 5-6 of us remaining decided we would like some more new members in our mids.
What do we expect: well we have these guidelines here (also guild description and blah blah) but basically mature players (as in don’t draw d*cks on the map) who understand priorities (if the two year old shouts from the loo that he needs his bottom wiped then he needs his bottom wiped pronto) and like laid back playing with some goofing around (no one will shout if you aggro 2 champions on us in a dungeon).
What can you expect: A small group of players from all around Europe, talking English, between 19 and 50ish years old and online at least a couple of times a week, some of them every day. We do PvE and WvW, most of the members enjoy both. We like tinkering with our builds, traits, trying out new things. Some of us like jumping puzzles, others are saving up for a legendary, I guess just like in other guilds really. We do stuff together, try to help each other and the guild chat is generally fairly lively. At least when I’m on:)
So if you are interested more details at the guild forum (we would like to get to know you a bit) or please feel free to contact me or any member any time!
