Badges are a reward for engaging in WvW, I don’t think the current “do the jumping puzzles” solution is enough. The puzzles are there to have something else to do, not to be the main source of badges.
We should be rewarded with currency and WvW prices for completing WvW related objectives.
Seems like everyone is getting their badges just fine…
Currently, Badges of Honor are considerably hard to get, the RNG on them and the chance that you don’t see the bag drop at your feet because you’re focused on fighting are big issues.
I would suggest that, alongside with the prizes for events in WvW, the participants would also receive Badges of Honor, even a small number would help. This would encourage players to organize and focus to get objectives, being camps, keeps or castles, and it would also make the WvW prices more achievable for players who are not able to play for extended periods of time. It would also help to minimize that undesirable state of “I can’t get badges if the enemy population is low / enemy is not showing up”.
Another way of fixing this issue would be to have a Daily Objective around WvW exclusively. An example of this would be: Player Kills, Camps Taken / Defended, Keeps Taken / Defended, Siege Built / Destroyed. A suitable price for this would be the same exact prize for the PvE Daily, but with Badges of Honor instead of Karma Jugs.
Last of all, I want to clarify that I don’t want an easy way, I just want it to be more fair for everyone. I would even settle in having the looks of the WvW gear to be sold for lesser Badges.
Let me know what you think, I know I’m not the only one struggling to get the WvW set in the small amount of time most of us have to spend playing.
