Why does this anti-spam-‘feature’ keep showing up?
I’ve just finished the second of my fractal dailies with two different groups and wanted to join the third party. That would be the 3rd party in about 20 minutes.
But no, i was ‘joining too many parties in the last time’ and am blocked from joining. For a whole of 10 minutes now.
This just makes me feel like I’m an abuser of some kind.
The number of events completed on the map does count for nothing?
So that means the most effective way is to port around, tagging as many events as possible to get max rewards?
That feels like a HUGE step backwards.
Remember when you actually had to coordinate the whole map of besieged Lion’s Arch to rescue as many survivors as possible for EVERYONE’S profit?
Im not an advocate for non-fluffy Charr but otherwise this looks good. ^^
Yes, I understand your point. But those who can’t jump (for whatever reason) won’t be completing many jumping puzzles, thus having the ‘unfair’ disadvantage of missing out many AP in that category as well.
I’m a huge fan of jumping puzzles, it’s part of the reason why I love this game that much. But I found it not easy to get up there (and down safe). Also, ‘No Rock Unturned’ does acutally not require much jumping skills and also just gives 1 AP.
They wanted to make achievemets something you have to achieve again, why not reward them equally?
I just finished the Story Journal Achievements and noticed that the three Achievements done in ‘Fallen Hopes’ only give 1 AP per achievement, while the ones done in the other two story instances give 5 per achievement.
Especially considering the ‘Disturbance in Brisban Wildlands’ achievements as quite easy compared to ‘Fallen Hopes’ this seems quite odd. Why is this? Was it a mistake?
Thing is: Diboofing the wurm was not 100% failsafe. There could be husks or other little wurms distracting/killing the diboofers and there you had the eggs.
Diboofing was an interesting and important action in order to kill the wurm.
Without it we got eggs. And what are eggs? They are DPS-checks to kill before larvae spawn. They are not affected by conditions, thus further promoting the best build ever: Berserker.
I was so happy about the husks, for they are the first attempt to make a condition build viable.
To me this change says: ‘Screw your tactics, build Berserker and Zerk the boss down.’ nice move, anet.. nice move.
I’d really like to have them on there own map. But the attitude “incompetent player, noobs, casuals suck” etc makes them bad players to me. I’d even like to give them their own game so no one needs to ever get in contact with them :-P
The problem is not incometence, inexperience or noobieness. The major problem – after doing the new jungle worm successfully for quite some time now – is that not all players on the map are willing to do the boss.
Thus we end up with too small numbers and failing. Having only one opportunity/day (without guilds starting the event) this gets quite frustrating. This is something i can accept and think which should be kind of addressed by Arenanet. Of course you can’t forbid any player to be on a map and do something else, there should be a way for those who want to do the event to “meet with other players”
Maybe get an feature like LFG for world maps to get certain things done? I’d appreciate it as i do not have to use it if i don’t want to and everyone who wants, can to.
As much as I do like the idea of opening a new map that is “restricted” to those answering the lfg, it still misses the excitement of trying and gathering.
I imagine the boss could become very badly overfarmed: Once you find a good map full of people and the guilds big enough to have enough unlocks it would be no problem to do the jungle worm every hour for 6-10 hours a day.
Thing is the balancing very easily tips at this point.
