My absolute first choice would be Glint. My goal is to actually make my character as a Zephyrite-style devotee of Glint.

Besides her, I’d like to channel Master Togo, Gwen (although then you’d either just turn into a mesmer or a little girl who follows people around, so maybe not…), and Saint Viktor. I miss the Kurzicks.

As for who I think they’ll actually include, my money’s on Glint and Shiro, in addition to the two that have already been revealed.

I think Surbus was testing current light armor combinations with shields in preparation for Mesmers (likely) getting a shield specialization in HoT. He wasn’t saying that the clipping is a bug with HoT, but rather that the clipping issues between shields and the armor pieces will become a problem if not addressed before Mesmers begin to use shields in the expansion.

While attempting to do the Season 2 Living Story quest “Uprooting the Iron Marches,” I’ve been repeatedly experiencing terrible lag, followed by a disconnection error. The lag begins immediately upon entering the Iron Marches zone, regardless of my actual location within the zone. This does not occur while I am in any other zone, and ceases as soon as I leave the Iron Marches.

It seems like a strange bug to me, but I’ve been testing it, and it occurs very reliably for me. Does anyone know how I might fix this? I can’t play through the Living Story at the moment, because of it.

Thanks, I thought that might be it. I wish I had known Adelbern’s ghost was going to be in the game before I made that his name. :P Aw well. Someone else got Rurik first (who doesn’t appear in GW2), so I grabbed what I could get.

Time to find a new name… one that’s actually fit for a Charr.

I recently tried to log onto a character of mine, who was named “Adelbern” after King Adelbern from Guild Wars 1 (of course, his ghost appears in GW2, as well). However, when I try to select him, the game now asks me to change my name, as it “contains letter combinations that are not permitted.” It’s strange, because I’ve had the character since the day the game released, and an error has never come up until now.

I’m perfectly fine with changing my character name – I always thought it was kind of silly for my Charr to be named after the former King of Ascalon, anyway. I’m just curious as to why I can no longer use the name Adelbern. Does anyone have any ideas?

I also experienced this bug. The first game I tied for first place, and someone told me I didn’t get the daily and crab toss champion achievements because a tie doesn’t count as a win; but after winning a second time (not a tie for first) without getting the achievements, I realized something was up. I also noticed the Crab Grabber and Crab Carrier achievements stopped tracking my progress.
