Guild Wars 2

I’ve been working on a comic using in-game screenshots for a number of months now. I overwhelmed myself with delusions of grandeur and have decided to turn it into a series of short chapters that will tell a relatively concise, but I believe, pretty unique story.
I know this doesn’t give too much context, but it’s a beginning of one character’s account and at the very least, the story is meaningful to me. I figured I’d share that.

I don’t mean any offense to you or your guildmates, but are you absolutely positive that this is an actual mechanic and not just the guy pulling a fast one over on you for 100g that he was originally poised to receive but now suddenly has to give it to someone else?

Same thing for Tarnished Coast borderlands. Not going to bother testing Crystal Desert or Dragonbrand, I’m sure it’s all the same.

I was messing with some dyes with my Harlequin’s Mask and found that some of the lighter dyes seemed to mess with the underlying color—usually blacked out entirely—by coloring it an ugly, odd shade of gray that seems incredibly out-of-place.

I was using Strawberry Breeze Dye in this case, but a few other lighter dyes did the same thing. I figured this was some kind of visual bug because I have a number of other lighter dyes that do not cause this to happen.

Changing neither my graphics settings (I tried both low and high settings), nor lighting situations seemed to change this.

Was experimenting with dyes yesterday, and tried applying Midnight Gold Dye to the first secondary dye slot (bottom left) on my Frayed cloth leggings (I transmuted to keep the starting cloth leggings). In the preview window, it applies just fine, but after exiting out to apply the changes, the dye is removed entirely.

I think to get a better idea of what you’re trying to do, you should post a link or two to some of the intros that you’re talking about. Some people have animation, some people have some really nicely-illustrated still images, and so there’s more than a few different ways to do it.

Sadly I don’t have any experience with much video editing or animation software, but I wish you the best of luck.

I would love to see this become a regular thing.

The top is particularly gorgeous. I wish I had the drive to learn how to do things like this.

They’re very nice. Out of curiosity’s sake, I’d love to see some side-by-side comparisons of the touch-ups you’ve done.

Also, is the flickr album link broken? I’m encountering an error when I try to access it. Your DA and the other flickr link work for me, though.

This is great, keeping it bookmarked! I’m trying my own hand at making a screen-capture comic myself. I can’t believe how much time I’ve spent trying to make something presentable (I’m only 3 pages in to my first chapter). It’s exhausting. It’s very uplifting to see someone make something so enjoyable in the medium I’m trying out.
