Guild Wars 2

Honestly, this little revelation along with the complete lack of attention paid to the feedback regarding the Dredge fractal has completely killed my desire to play this game. I don’t know why I care when it’s clear the developers don’t, either. When this is the big update after fractals have been out for a year+… well, it’s clear that ANet isn’t going to put any meaningful effort into what was supposed to be the “end-game” dungeon.

I just finished buying my components too and now I can’t ascend it either… sad day.

So I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s run into the bug with Thurmanova where you can’t get the third coolant rod because the dormitory door won’t open.

There is however a workaround! I had this bug occur for me on a 31, and you can simply run a gauntlet to the end of the fire room on the west side and hit the two terminals to unlock the final boss room. This a little tricky without weapon skills, but a Necro (death shroud) or a Mesmer that can portal someone else halfway across can make it fairly easy. At the end there are two panels; Necro stunbroke when he did it, I used blink to activate both (think Harpy fractal panels).

Hopefully this post keeps someone from giving up on their run after slogging through 2 3/4 fractals. Good luck!

Gear: Full exotic zerker, all ascended gear except one accessory slot. Have 3 pieces of Knight’s I switch out depending on fight.
Path: P2-P4 multiple times, looking to get P1 completed
Experience: Arah p1 is my last explorable for DM, I’m in the late 30’s in fractals. Have just had the worst luck this week with pugs for this path and can’t get my guild to go for anything.
Time: Around 6pm-2am EST for usual playtimes.

Yep; It’s a little frustrating to be sitting here waiting for information on these features, let alone the features themselves. For all the talk about eSports in the months leading up to launch, it’s been a disappointing few weeks in that regard.

There’s never going to be a better time than now to build a competitive scene in Guild Wars 2. If people decide to move on to the next big thing because of their frustrations with the current state of things here, it will be that much harder to bring them back (if they can be brought back at all).
