Perseverance would be a nice little bonus —- except it is only granted upon completing the hearts and cannot be acquired again until the next day. The fact that it’s removed after you change maps for the first time renders it pointless. This feels like an oversight. It should reapply earned stacks every time you visit the map within the day, or events should also reward stacks.

Revenue dipped significantly below what it was pre-HoT… that’s not good. Looks like HoT actually did drive away a large portion of players.

I doubt HoT drove people away, more likely the content drought post HoT caused that.

HoT drove away a massive number of people. They gutted WvW and dungeon communities by killing the game modes, and the extreme grind drove away casual players.

This is what happens when you continuously short-change your playerbase. If they had been producing content instead of fixing everything they broke with the release of HoT, they might still have players left to actually buy gems. They can pump out outfit after outfit, but vanity items don’t keep the game alive. Content keeps the game alive.

I will gladly go back to supporting the gem store once the legendaries I already paid for are released. That’s assuming they ditch the 2000gem cash-grab bundles and put the items I want to buy for sale. I’m looking at you, soul river glider I never got to buy.

LFG is empty apart from a few random people asking help with a specific hero point and the meta event lfgs. If you want to do the event chains (Like I do, for currency and missing acchis) and not the meta it’s nearly impossible to find a populated map. Not to mention that more often that not I don’t have the time to wait for the meta to start, I would like to jump on the map and do events. Usually there are no people, and the few people there are scattered across many maps. Some of the events are soloable, but many are simply not.

Just the other day friend wanted to do a specific event he was missing in TD and we found 3 maps with 1 commander or mentor each and less than 10 people running around. Why are those people not on the same map to begin with? Another day I was in VB and every time I would find a few people to do events with I got the map closing pop up, only to be transferred to a map that’s just as empty.

I guess most people finished their collection and have no reason to join unless it’s the meta, so there just aren’t enough people no matter what time it is.

Their silence is making this so much worse. You really can’t ignore a mess of this magnitude, but that’s exactly what they’re doing. They don’t seem to care.
Yeah, they’re “reading our thoughts” but that promises nothing. That’s not even fully acknowledging the sheitstorm.

When this whole thing first erupted I kept a keen eye on the forums sure that they would release a statement, something. Wow have I been disillusioned about the whole company.

Seriously? I just asked to explain the lie and you just post a picture. The picture has 2 identical statements, that you need the core game to play HoT. The only difference is it was changed to state that HoT also comes with the core game. The answer to the question “Do I need to own guild wars 2 to play the expansion” is still the same. That’s why I’m saying I don’t see the lie. The answer is still the same.

Tons and tons of people bought gw2 cause they said you need to have gw2 for the expansion. Just a dirty way to make extra cash, classical bait and switch. On top of that you only get a refund if the account is younger than 30 days and you lose everything, need to start from scratch.

Even if they didn’t change anything they are going to have to address this hot mess. Besides, people have come up with tens of solutions that would keep 97%of the players happy without changing the price, just the contents.

Price wise, I think it is very steep because at the moment it seems we’re getting very little with the expansion. Not even a full set of new legendaries! I mean, we’ll see but atm seems harsh since we know so little about it.

Not everyone who is upset has been playing 3 years!
I haven’t been playing close to a year but have several hundred hours in the game.
I got nothing on the people who buy it today for $50 less.
I’ve never heard of an expansion that forced you to buy the game as well… This is completely ridiculous.

Yesterday I was still thinking I’d get the expansion the very moment it became available… then they give me the middle finger.

But it is a ripoff.
New player: $50 for GW2+HoT
Old player: $10-60 for GW2+$50 for Hot

How is that not a ripoff when there’s no option to purchase just the expansion?

Even if you have GW2 already, you still need to pay to full price.
Sweet deal for newbies, a big middle finger to anyone who already bought the game.

Many of my guildies have been playing for 2-4months.
Even if they did get a refund, they wouldn’t want to lose ALL their progress after spending so much time leveling characters to 80, getting fractal levels up etc…

Never was it even hinted that you could only buy the expansion and core game together.
I’m not even sure any game has ever done a mistake like this?

So today you need a lvl 80 character because two of the choices are orr vista or jormag… yeah, what about the people just starting up?

Also it’s so lame to try hunt for events… it’s frustrating! suddenly 250 players in snowden drifts! If there were many options to choose from and you did’nt have to do the pathetic event run it’d be okay.

Why only after a couple of tries I don’t get to join for several minutes, and then after the cool down I get one try before I get the notificationa again?

I use it for tequ, silverwastes where I’m looking for an active map, but if someone makes a taxi to a map that’s full, which I have no way of knowing, then suddenly I can’t join any party for a loooooong time.

What exactly is the harm in letting me join several parties?

Also sometimes the queue gets some sort of a seizure and everything flashes quickly.
