About your build DesertRose I have some considerations:

- Wall of reflections and Retreat are 2 skills situational, ihmo. Both very nice on some dung (CM) and fractal (Harpy’s instance). But generally I think that Save yourself and Hold the line are more versatile and easy to use.
- According to what I wrote above, 25 points on Virtues aren’t too many? I don’t have consecrations skills so a 20% recharge increase is useless, also I remove conditions each time i shout with my soldier runes and with my staff’s sigil. I know that AB is good, but in this way I can save some points for Valor and take AH, one of the best sustain trait of this class.

I think a 0/15/30/20/5 can be a good mix of dmg and sustain, I have perma vigor, good healings cause 3 shouts and Virtue of justice’s high refresh combined with AH, blind and vulnerability.
I missed something?

Can I have an AH translation pls?
I cannot use hammer, cause I have a Sunrise, it’s cool and I wanna use it

I mixed some guides, tips and personal ideas on calculator. And this is version 1.0 of my future build.
What do u think about it?

In few days I’ll try a couple of alternative configurations:
1) 0\15\0\30\25 knight equip and maybe zerk trinkets and wep.
2) cookie setup, all zerk with gs+ sword-focus. Can I have some trait details for this one? Let’s try this high survability build

I wrote all the areas of improvement. With this char I run only dungeons, fractals, world bosses and PVE in general (except champ farm and other killing stuffs..he’s too slow).
I’m asking here if there’s something i can change on my build, maybe lowering a bit his survability for some extra dmg but keeping in mind that I don’t want a squishy zerk.

@The Mexican Cookie: I have a question. I have a war 80 full full zerk gs + axe/axe – axe/mace. High dmg is fun, but he’s weak. A bad valutation on a dodge, a bad camera position, small lag or a failed res on a teammate….and I’m on the floor. Why I have to change my solid (but nooooooob ) build for a glass cannon one? I asked how to improve mine, not how to raise my dmg output at maximum level.

Hello all!

I have a lev 80 guard (main character) with 0/0/20/30/20 traits, Hotw armor set with 2x monk, 2x water, 2x sanctuary (all for boon duration %) and all trinkets with tou/pow/vit stats. I generally use staff for self/party buffs and GS for killin times. I switch sometimes to shield + scepter for long range dps and for more def setup.
At the moment this setup works great, it’s quite hard to be knocked off, I heal a lot and I have tons of utility to spam for keep the party alive
I use him for PVE, fract and dungeon. I’m not a PvP or WvW fan, at least not with this beauty guy.
Any suggestions or ideas to improve him? The build i followed it’s quite old, like 6+ months, and I never changed it till I reached lev 80.
