I am trying to get 100% world map completion to get my Gift of Exploration for my legendary. I only need the vista in Diessa Plateau where you get shot from the catapult onto the top of the tower. However, no matter what I do talking to the guy, he will not allow me to be shot from the catapult. I waited there for 30 minutes, and nothing.
This is so unfair Arenanet. Please fix this so that I can complete this map and get my legendary.
Just what the topic says. A guild member needed obsidian shards to complete his Bolt legendary, and so we did Balthazar (with quite a few other people). Hope you enjoy the video guys.
May I ask how you got past YouTube’s “Matched Third Party Content” message? Or did you still get it? Cause I use other bands music in my GW2 videos and I always get that message.
I have another video, this one of my guild taking Bravost from Crystal Desert (with help from the alliance we had for that night).
Enjoy guys. Make sure you set the video settings to the highest to get the best quality.
lol you played Skyrim music during the fight
Where’d you get the Staff, and when you’re in the crystal cages you can use Cantrips, I usually use the Arcane Shield.
The Skyrim music seemed to fit since like I said Jeremy Soule did the music for GW2 also.
The staff was a lvl 80 exotic staff (forgot the name) with power, precision, and +crit dmg. The skin was the guild skin from WvW. I have since changed it to the Wintersday staff skin, which looks a lot cooler. =)
I’ll have to remember the cantrip thing next time. I think I had Mist Form on my bar, but never thought to use it =(.
This is my first Guild Wars 2 video, so I kept it simple. Hope you guys enjoy it.
Make sure you select 720P for the video quality setting, otherwise YouTube makes it look like crap.

1) do not compare them at all.
WoW is build around the holy trinity (tank, dps, healer). GW2 is made to break the trinity. Every class need to tank, to dps and to heal and solo or grouping doesn’t change it. You should always be ready to play all these roles at the same time. For example, foes will change target and doesn’t stay on agroing the tank(s) alone. So expecting to be able to play like a paladin is wrong. Furthermore, if you want to be good at support and come from a traditional healer, the last thing I would advise is the Guardian. Not that they are not ok, but cause guardians are melee based.2: Dungeons are for smaller groups of 5 people. They are also very challenging and it takes time to master them. If one player is failing it can be very hard to finish the dungeon and if two are failing it is nearly impossible to finish.
Dynamic events are what you would call a raid. with the difference that you do it in pug’s. The events are dynamic, meaning you can pass the same swamp 25 times, and nothin g happens. The 26th time however you meet this… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=negeLd6w3KENowadays, most of them are fairly documented and trigger like every 3 hours. Therefore the big ones like these have a lot of people doing them
Okay so Guardians are completely different.
What are “pugs” btw? You mean you don’t actually group up and just beat up the boss?
Hey guys. I’m gonna start playing GW2 soon, once my new laptop gets here and I can actually play it (the laptop I have now can’t even run the game on the lowest settings =( ).
So, I used to play WoW, back before Wrath of the Lich King came out.
1) I noticed the Guardian is the closest thing to the Paladin from WoW, which was my main class. In WoW, I was a healer, because I raided a lot, so I was forced to do that, and only that. What are the similarities and differences between the WoW Paladin, and the Guardian? Also, would I be forced to only heal if I joined some massive group taking on a boss because I’m a Guardian? Because that got old really kitten quick in WoW.
2) I loved raiding in WoW. Taking on a boss that 40 people had to defeat felt epic to me (25 people when Burning Crusade came out). Does GW2 have an equivilent to raiding? Like, get 25-40 people together, and go to a massive dungeon or something and take on bosses? I know GW2 has 8 dungeons, and world events and stuff, but I don’t know if the dungeons are like… 5-man dungeons, or actual raid-style dungeons for a lot of people.
Thanks guys.
