Guild Wars 2

I have an Alienware 17 Intel Core i7-4900 MQ. It is NVIDIA GTX 7780M 4GB GDDR5. The Service Tag says GGGLXY1 M17X. I use a Windows 10 Home 64 bit operating system. I have 2.8 GHz and I have 32 GB of installed Ram.

I play all areas in GW2, including the expansion (current favourite area is Ember Bay). My computer has recently started stalling when I play GW2 (last month or so). It does not do this when I play other games (eg. GTA5 online). I have played Guild Wars since Guild Wars 1.

When it stalls – the computer freezes, the mouse stops working and I have to force re-boot to gain control over the computer. When it freezes the computer may be black or stuck on a frame in the game. Also the sound card crashes too.

I have already clean installed gw2, put repair in the shortcut (didn’t make a difference) , I have now starting playing it as low resolution to reduce stalling potential but it often stalls anyway. I have even formatted my computer and it made no difference. I keep my computer cool at all times so I know it not over-heating.

What suggestions do you have that I have not done?

I have completed the story line to success and at the time did all five hearts. I have come back a week later from holidays and the hearts have reset. Is anyone else having this problem. It is very frustrating. I re-do the heart every day and they reset when I comeback the next day.

When I go to my Hall of monuments to charm my pets that I earned through GW1 achievements I find it empty. When I speak to the NPC he says that the Hall of Monuments has been temporarily disabled. Does anyone know when it will work again?
