Hi everyone, i spend some time on a Druid PvE build (raids hype !) and i would like some reviews.
The main problem is that i can’t test it in game : it’s beyond expensive since it mostly use Zealot’s stuff, so i’m looking for some advices before spending around 200-250g.
Basically, it’s a supportive build based on spirits, heals, and boons but it still have some decent DPS and a good surviability. I think it can create some space in groups, and allow people to focus on DPS (i’m looking at you, zerker boys&girls).
Here is the link : http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQNBmYD7kHRoVFsZFwXFgoFsgJYw50faQ15wlqyANLrCXAIlhdl1WA-TxCBQB3Tzw/0Bol9HOoKFA4BAkK1Val5n9dBAWlyvJoE8cmgCAcA87vBAkCwvpWA-e
Actual DPS of the build is my main problem, i can’t tell how it is. The #1 on the staff is really good to keep a constant DPS from a safe position.
If you want less heal and more DPS & Boon duration, switch Delicious Rice Ball to Fried Golden Dumpling
I kept the Forst Spirit in the build link, but i think you can drop it and get a good Glyph or Signet.
I have issues deciding stats and sigils on Sword/Warhorn, my second problem is i don’t find “cast on crit” effects I like, but i want to make use of those 56% crit rate.
Pros :*
- Massive, continous healing
- 15% DPS for allies (Grace of the land)
- Might (7-8), Fury(100%), Regen(100%), Swiftness (70%), Vigor (~70%), Protection (50%), Stability (1 charge, 50%)
- 2 Blasts finishers (24 and 12s CD), 1 Leap, Water and Light Combo Fields.
- Good condition cleansing
- Good mobility
- You can drop 1 or 2 spirits if you want to mix it with Glyphs.
- Insane defense if you keep your health >90%
- Poison (60%) if you keep your health >90% (situational)
- Spirits have 95% resistance.
Cons :
- Ok DPS (But Staff auto-attack is strong and i think 56% CC and 2600 power is really decent on such a support-oriented build).
- No hard disables / can’t break monsters. (But you can use some Spiky Fruits !
- Weak to hard disable spam, watch your step.
- Lower mobility if you mix it with glyphs Verdant Etching over Natural Stride
- Do not have “cast on crit” effects to make use of the 56% Crit Rate
- Sword brings some evasion/mobility, but it’s still underwhelming.
- No Ascended guear and expensive exotic stuff.
- Food is important and expensive.
- Spirits last 60s.
Questions :
- Did i miss something important/am i wrong somewhere ?
- Why Vigorous Training is not affected by Lingering Magic?
- I don’t think Lingering Magic proc on my spirits, can you confirm? If so, is it normal that the bonus isn’t shown in skills it affects? (blue color in descriptions)
- What do you suggest for pets? i did not find something better than Tiger/RedMoa/BlueMoa for the second one.
- I’m still stucked with Sword/Warhorn stats and sigils, what do you suggest?
- Can you confirm me that Damage Reduction (%) is additive?
I’ll edit the post for little things, the main edited post will be on reddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3s6zl6/build_druid_thats_the_spirit/
