Elite Specializations & Hero Point Feedback [Merged]

I agree with the person who said that the hero points should not have champs with them. Make us earn them, okay, but I don’t like not being able to solo them. I find myself standing near them spamming map chat or just waiting for a group to come in, and for some of the harder to reach ones it takes a long while. An mmo should encourage groups, but not force them.
Wow. I believe I read somewhere that Mr Gee had moved on from Reaper and Chronomancer and was working on the warrior elite. If true, then wow. This man should be involved in everything from now on. I am not concerned with balance or anything of that nature for Reaper, Chronomancer, or the warrior elite as those numbers can be changed, but just at the basic feel of the spec and how it plays out. Reaper is amazing in concept and design, as is Chronomancer and if the new Berserker elite spec is half as amazing in concept as the reveal looks to be then I declare that everything Robert Gee touches is gold.
I fear that if I hold my breath for this fix, I’ll just end up brain damaged.
Ha! Yep.

It is sad, but ANet really should keep trolls in mind for future content. Really hard content should be instanced if you asked me. Maybe.
Yes, well you could also do the daily 9 times by killing the FE in Metrica, but that is not the point… if he wasn’t part of the living story there wouldn’t be 1000 people in Sparkfly all the time. Downing Tequatl would just feel like one of those things you could do later… maybe… but since I suspect that once the Living Story moves on, not many people will want to do it anymore. I guess it doesn’t matter.
I have seen posts about nerfing Teq and that is not what I am advocating here. My complaint is that this update is all about beating that fight. I can’t get into anything but overflow and overflow has zero chance of beating him. If the world bosses were fixed as an aside from the Living Story, I am sure that not everyone and their uncle would be sitting in Sparkfly. I cannot sit for 2 hours hoping to get out of overflow, and I guess I cannot defeat the boss if I dont… so frustrating.
I am fairly new to this game and have found it one of the best games I have played in a long time. I leveled several professions right away to get a feel for which I liked and have been doing a few dungeons after a friend told me about gw2lfg. As a newish player I avoid posts that read “be experienced or you will be kicked” even if I have done the dungeon a few times. I am still learning, and those people have a right if they make the post that specifically to ask that newish players sit those out.
However, I found a group with no such tag where from the first boss til the point I got kicked, one player in particular accused me of being a “bad guardian” because I wasn’t using a certain build. He was killed on the first boss because I wasn’t cleansing with shouts as he said I should have been. Later, after much taunting to which I try to ignore, he berated me further for not using GS5 at just the right time to pull the mobs on some trash pull to him. And I was subsequently kicked from the with the nice tag line, “good bye sh#$%ty guardian.”
I wonder if such behavior is just to be expected as it would be in LoL, and I should not complain? And how will this seeming elitism work with the new LFG tool that is incoming in game? These are serious questions I have because while I can understand not wanting to fail content because of a constant flow of “bad” players, should we expect PUGs to all be masters of the universe and know everything, be running THE right build?
This may not be the place for this, but I do think it is helpful to remind the community that there are new players still, and these are the experiences that hurt the game in the long run.
