Heya, I started to level up my scribe profession quite late and noticed in the process that there are a few trees that can be crafted, from the Ascalonian red-leafed trees to palm trees. At the same time, I noticed that the alpine lumber core’s only purpose seems to be becoming a material for a library shelf (which looks nice, don’t get me wrong). So I think this Wintersday should be the point, where some recipes get added to craft fir trees and snow-covered fir trees (with the help of those basic snow piles, maybe). I think in terms of ambient trees there is a gap to fill. Arena Net, if you’d be so kind…
And talking of snow piles: If I could make a wish to Tixx, it’d be to add a similar looking decoration that covers a wider area, so people can actually make some snowy ground happen without hitting the “twenty decorations within a certain radius” limit that quickly.
What guild decorations would you like to be added in the still some months away Wintersday?

What I would love to see (let’s say for the winter season) would be a mini penguin chick.
As for a backpack item or shoulder skins (I guess shoulder skin would work better): a cat (but please with a slimmer model than the standard gw2 cats) resting on your shoulders, James Bowen-“A Street Cat named Bob”-style!

I also think that free accounts (as much as I welcome the honest players) should be restricted to whisper only people who added them (not the other way round). In these times, friends can easily communicate outside of the game via voichehat, Whatsapp, and so on, to exchange friendship data. Also, party options should be restricted, simply due to the fact that goldsellers could spam party invites in order to advertise via party chat. The thing is that the restrictions now won’t suffice to keep the goldsellers at bay. They can only whisper to people on the same map, that might be good to save the higher level players from harm, but it should be considered that this means that all five starting cities will be goldseller-infected. And those are the hubs where people meet up. If the cimmunity should be kept and increased, it is important to give the community places to meet up. However, people will most likely be annoyed to stay in the cities if the goldseller spamming gets out of control, creating a huge gap between veteran players who can afford to be in higher level areas and those players who still have to level up their first character. I see Arena Nets good will, and I think their solutions get pretty close to what’s needed, but given the circumstances that friends have enough other means to communicate, the chat restrictions could be a bit higher to ensure gold sellers won’t stand a chance to annoy people out of the cities.

I don’t decide these kinds of things, but there is an ingame mail associated with the fix! It’s a great email too… I think all of the people with legitimate HOM achievements will really like it.

As a side note, I am sorry you guys had to wait so long. This isn’t a fix where you can bring someone in from outside of the company to fix or put multiple people on it to get it done faster.

First of all, I want to thank you for your continous efforts to resolve the issue even though you’re working kitten Heart of Thorns. My wardrobe is grateful, too Secondly, did anyone receive the ingame mail, yet? When I stumbled upon that, I was excited (as people who are well-behaved generally get rewarded too rarely in my opinion, so I’m always overjoyed, when they get the acknowledgement they deserve). So yeah, I want to thank Arena Net for that – can’t wait to see what that mail is
